It was another day of work for poor Zoe. She had so many things to do lately, taking a thousand photographs for clients, editing them, and working on her website. She was a trained jewelry photographer. She was so flustered with work that she had no time on her hands to spend time with her best friends and her god, Auro. And, to be honest, they were busy too. Riana was a technical genius and worked for a producer who hosts shows and concerts. Evelyn was a doctor at her mother's hospital which was handed over to her. Vanessa ran a school—Saffron High-- which was previously owned by her grandfather. Ayelen was in the process of completing her piano study. Then, there were the boys. Tyler, Riana's boyfriend, was an employee at an IT company called BookMark. Zach was in an academy for football players. Finally, Vance ran a company called HighTech which made computers. They all worked very hard to earn money.

Finally, in what seemed like centuries, Evelyn called.

"Hey, Evvy. Long time no see, eh?", she said, answering the phone.

"You said it,", replied Evelyn, giving a large sigh. "We are all so busy, that we can't even meet each other. But that's why I'm calling. Tyler had called yesterday and told us to meet in Corkies at 11:30 tomorrow."

"Uh... ok. I think I have some time to spare. But after that, I'm going to have to get back to work."

"You're supposed to be off on Sundays!", she cried.

"Yeah, but I have a lot of editing to do."

"Whatever. But be there tomorrow. See ya!" and she hung up. It was already late, so she decided to make some dinner and head to bed early. She prepared some cup noodles because she was too tired to cook, gave Auro his dinner, roasted chicken from last night, and began eating. She finished in about ten minutes and got to bed.

The next morning, Zoe woke up very late. She had completely forgotten to take Auro out to do his business, and because of it, she had a mess to tidy up in the hall. "Seriously Auro? You couldn't hold your pee for one day?", she complained. He barked and went away. Her phone rang moments later. It was from Evelyn. Evelyn? Oh no. she had forgotten to meet the gang at Corkies.

"Sorry, Evelyn! I woke up late. I'll be there in about twenty minutes!", she said and hung up, not waiting for an answer. She got dressed as quickly as possible, not even stopping to take a shower, gave some food to a very confused Auro, and dashed out to her car. She drove to Corkies and saw her friends sitting around a big, round table in the patio. "Hey, guys, sorry I'm late. What did I miss? And where is Riana?" "Well, you missed a very big announcement from Tyler. And Riana's running late too. She'll be here in ten minutes.", said Vanessa. I nodded, taking a seat next to Ayelen.

"What's that thing you're wearing around your neck, Zack? A snake?", she joked. He had worn a green and black scarf, tightly wrapped around his neck.

"No! this is a scarf", he replied, with an esteemed tone of voice.

"I already told you, it looks ridiculous!", protested Evelyn.

"Guys, can we stop?", said Tyler, exasperated. "I need to make the perfect plan, and I need help!"

"Perfect plan for what?", Zoe asked. He was about to answer when Ayelen jutted, "He is going to propose to Riana!" Wow. They had been dating for five years and it took him this long? She thought. "Took you long enough!"

"And now, he needs our help to devise a plan to make the perfect proposal.", said Vance.

"Yup", said Tyler. "I have a plan in mind. So, there's this little cabin in the woods that my parents bought a long time ago. We used it as a holiday place when my cousins came over, so it has a lot of rooms."

"Where are you going with this?", asked Vanessa.

"So... I thought since we all have been working our bottom for almost two years, we could go there for two months. There's even a pool where we can chill. What say?", he said and looked at us expectedly.

"Uhh... two months?", Zoe asked, shocked. There would be a lot of business loss.

"Yes. Come, on guys. We've been working so hard for too long, without any breaks."

"Can't argue with that...", said Vance. "But how is this a plan for the proposal? You do realize that in your own plan, you don't have a proposal.

"Right. I didn't come to that yet. So, there's this hillside right behind the cabin. I want us to go hiking there and ill pull her out into some secluded area and do it." We were speechless for some time when finally, Evelyn broke the silence. "You know what? that's a good idea. I'm in." "Thank you!", exclaimed Tyler and looked at the others. "Please guys, for me."

"I'll have to make some calls but sure.", said Zach.

"Ok, but can I just work a little bit? For fun." Zoe asked. Tyler nodded.

"Well, technically my three- month vacation starts in November, but I think I can convince the university to prepone it.", said Ayelen.

"Sure, anything for you man.", said Vance, slapping Tyler's back.

"Ok, but you need to give me some time to find a replacement to handle the school while I'm gone.", said Vanessa

"Yes! Thank you so much, guys! You are the best!", cried Tyler, with excitement shown on his face. Moments later, Riana stepped into the shop. "I am so sorry, guys! I had this ridiculous call with my boss."

"That's ok, anyway, are you free for the next two months?", asked Madeline, smiling. Riana gave them a look. "What for?" the gang explained the whole thing to them. Well, everything except the proposal, obviously.

"That's so cool! Sure, I'll make time. My boss seems like he wants to fire me anyway.", she said, without emotion.

"That's horrible! Why would he do that?", asked Ayelen.

"No, no, I was going to quit. This stupid company wants me to work 24/7, without any raise in salary. Oh, why do I care?", she replied.

"Seems like a good plan. When should we go?", asked Zoe.

"Let's go next week. I must find a replacement, which will probably be my assistant again. And it's a brand- new starting to the month.", said Vanessa. The rest nodded in confirmation and left to their houses, feeling excited for the next week.
