Part 4: Will She Say Yes??

Everyone except Riana woke up early in the morning. They couldn't sleep due to the excitement of the proposal. Zoe packed only the necessary things needed for hiking like hiking sticks, salt in case of leaches, water, some mints and some light snacks. Auro was going to stay in the cabin because Zoe was too scared to let him climb a steep hill as he had never done that before and needed practice. They were going to head out at 10:00 am and it was 8:00 am now. Riana hadn't woken up and Tyler was sitting on the couch, in deep thought. "Tyler got the ring?", asked Evelyn. He nodded. "What's wrong?", asked Vanessa.

"It's just nervousness.", he replied.

"Come, on, it'll be fine. What are you even worried about? You have a plan don't you?", asked Ayelen. He nodded once more.

"Yes. We go hiking, I pull her into some secluded area and do it."

"Hey, you forgot one thing.", said Zoe. Tyler looked up. "She's going to say yes, and you two will live happily ever after." She said, smiling.

"You don't know that. She might not be ready for it, it might be too early. I mean, we're only 27....."

"27 is the right time, trust us.", said Evelyn. Suddenly, Riana's voice came from the staircase. "Tyler?", she called out. Tyler was frozen, thinking she heard their conversation. The others jumped out of their seats and started to pretend to do something. "Tyler? Where are you?", she called out again. "In here.", said Tyler. Riana came into the living room, looking sleepy. "Why are you awake? Go to sleep.", said Tyler, lovingly.

"Why are you awake?"

"I couldn't sleep for some reason.", he replied and shrugged.

"I couldn't sleep either, that's 'cause you aren't there.", she said and sat on the couch, eyes still droopy. Tyler chuckled.

"Why do I have to be there?"

"I don't know...", she said softly as she laid her head on Tyler's chest and snuggled into him. She fell asleep almost instantly. Tyler smiled at her, caressing her head. The others 'Aww'ed softly, trying not to wake her up.

It was 9:30 and everyone was wide awake. They packed their stuff; Tyler, the ring, and headed for the hill. It was a rocky hill with many trees and grass. It was amazing, with birds chirping from the treetops and the dampness of it that made the hill that much better. They had walked for ten minutes now, Tyler trying to find a nice, isolated spot. "Ahh... what a day.", said Riana, sighing. "The fresh smell of grass and leaves, cute, little birds flying everywhere, it couldn't get better." Everyone else smirked and Evelyn muttered, "Well, it will."

After thirty minutes, Tyler had found the perfect spot. It was overlooking the land below and was slightly covered by a canopy of trees. He looked over to the others, who nodded, and Zach winked. He finally got the courage to go over to Riana who was taking photos. "H—hey Riana.", he stuttered. "Hey babe, mind taking some shots for me?", she replied. Tyler nodded and took some side shots.

"Thanks!"

"You know what? There's this place there,", he said, gesturing to the spot.

"Which has a nice overlook of the land. Want me to take some shots for you there?"

"Really? Thanks!". She said, walking through the canopy. Tyler went after, feeling the ring box in his pocket, making sure it was there. Once there, he made Riana sit on the cliff, facing the other direction. He took her phone and pulled out the ring and knelt. When Riana turned around to see if he was done, she gasped.

"Riana, the day I met you in our first year of college, I knew you were the one for me. I didn't ever think an amazing girl like you could ever think of dating a guy like me,", Riana was now shedding tears of joy. "But when you said that you felt the same way, I was over the moon. Now, I see how important you are to me. You make my day so much brighter even on the darkest of days. Now, I only ask for one thing. Will you marry me?" Riana was now fanning her face to dry her tears. All she said was, "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god..." Tyler chuckled.

"What?"

"YES!", she said and pounced on Tyler, attempted to hug him and they both fell and laughed. When they got up, Tyler slipped the ring on her finger. "Tyler, it's beautiful!", she said, admiring the ring. "Not as much as you", he replied (haha, I know it's sappy) and kissed her. She kissed back and they lasted like that for minutes before breaking apart. When they emerged from the canopy, Riana screeched and ran to her friends and showed them the ring. "Congratulations, you love birds!", said Zoe, smirking. The couple hugged their friends and headed down the mountain, hand in hand.

Back at the cabin, Zoe was making lunch, pizza with the dough she had set out the last night, for celebrating. She made three 12' pizzas for everybody and it took a lot of time, so she started early. While she was baking it, she heard Riana's voice. "How the hell are we going to break it to my parents? Do they even know you were going to ask me?", she asked her. "Yup, they know. I asked them if it was okay with them first.", said Tyler. "Of course, they'll be okay with it! They know I love you and they know if they don't agree to be with you, I'll never forgive them.", said Riana as Tyler pecked her cheek.

After dinner was ready, they ate and talked until midnight. They told Riana about how they planned the whole proposal, the meeting they had at Corkies and how nervous Tyler was before the hike. "Seriously? What were you so worried and nervous about? Did you actually think I'd say no?", Riana asked Tyler, who just shrugged.

"Guys, aren't you gonna plan your wedding?", asked Evelyn.

"No, let them be. I think they need time to let it sink in that they're engaged first.", replied Vance as the couple blushed madly. Once they were done with their dinner, they went upstairs to bed; they were fatigued from all that hiking. Tyler and Riana went to their bedroom, got changed into nightclothes and jumped into bed. They fell asleep in each other's arms in seconds.

EEEEEEEEEEE! I was so fangirling when I was writing this! It's a bit sappy, but i think it fits well with what i imagined to be Tyler's charecter. How do you think they'll tell their parents? *raises eyebrow*
