"You aren't serious," Elsa laughed.
"What?" Jack's confused voice buzzed over the phone.
"You seriously have 'change Elsa's mind about vanilla' on your resolution list,"
"Right here, written in blue ink and everything."
"Well you can scratch it off right now,"
"I've changed your mind?"
"More like you're never going to change my mind."
"What's that saying? Never say never?"
"People who say that are talking about finding life on other planets, or Lakia having a sucky Halloween fair. Very unlikely to happen, but not impossible. They are not, however, talking about my love of vanilla."
"Oh, that was cold Winters,"
"It's what I do best,"
"I guess I could shelve that particular resolution for now. But, maybe not forever,"
"Just read the rest of your list Frost,"

Jack chuckled, "Alright, where was I..." It was late in the afternoon, on the last day of the year. During their usual phone call the couple had decided to exchange New Year's resolutions.
"Okay," Jack continued, "Procrastinate less,"
Elsa snorted, "Good luck with that. I've had that on my list three years in a row,"
"Yeah? And how'd it go?"
"I've had it on my list for three years,"
"Point taken. Mh, I'm probably not going to manage that one either. Next is 'Defeat Disney in hockey match.' I think that's going to be the first one off my list," Jack's smile was evident in his voice. Elsa snorted again.
"This isn't a New Year's resolution list. It's a list of stuff that's not gonna happen."
"Never say never princess,"
Elsa sighed fondly adjusting her cell phone from one ear to the other, "I'm not going saying anything else on that particular resolution."
"Fair enough. Next one, don't argue with Bunny so much,"
"I don't know Aster well enough to make an informed critic on that."
"You know you don't have to all critic my resolutions, right?"
"I don't have to. It's my pleasure."
Jack made an exasperated sound but continued reading from his list, "Well, I'm almost done. Improve on my grades,"
"You're grades aren't that bad, sure, from you've told me they could be better. But they're not bad."
"That was almost a kind comment.
"Oh, funny Jack."
"This is the last. Talk to Elsa everyday."
"Everyday?" Elsa smiled.
"Think I can manage it?"
"Maybe. If you're motivated enough."
"I get to hear your voice. That motivation enough for me."

"You are such a sap,"
"And don't you forget it. Okay, okay. Now you have to read me your list."
"Alright," Elsa picked up the paper on her desk. "Frist, get the hang of Spanish tenses."
"I wish you luck with that endeavor,"
"Learn a new stake move,"
"Wait, there are a maneuvers that you don't know?"
"Shocking, isn't it?" Elsa laughed, "I may be good, but I'm no ice skating god,"
"Could have fooled me princess,"
Elsa laughed again, "And try something I've never done before,"
"Oh, that's a good one. Mind if I steal it?"
"Go ahead, maybe that's something we could do together,"
"I like the sound of that. Is that your entire list?"
"I didn't see the point of writing down a bunch of stuff, most of which I'm probably not going to do anyway."
"Fair point. So, what are the plans for tonight?"
"Well mom and dad are going to his office's party and Anna and I are going to Disney's end of year bash at Snow White's."
"That sounds like fun,"
"Probably going to be a little crazy, knowing my school mates."
"Fun, crazy, same thing, aren't they?"
"Not exactly," Elsa laughed.
"They are for me,"
"Mmh, maybe I should add 'rethink current relationship' to my list."
"Hey!"
"I'm joking." Se teased.
"You'd better be."
"Does DreamWorks have any plans for tonight?"
"Oh yeah. Alex is hosting a party too. Everyone's going."
"Guess we're both going to parties then."
"Shame we couldn't go to one together,"
"We both know begging for trouble."
"Yeah, but still,"
"I know." Elsa sighed, "Maybe next New Year's."

Jack smiled at the mention of next New Year's and looked at the one resolution on his list he hadn't told Elsa, "Yeah, maybe next year. Well, I should start getting ready for tonight."
"Me too. I guess I'll talk to you next year then."
"That's so long," Jack whined.
"Oh hush, it's a few hours."
"Like I said so long."
Elsa roller her eyes and let out a grunt. "Goodbye Jack,"
"Bye princess,"
