[ A month later ]

(Y/n) still lived at Erwin's house. She gets the attention, love, and everything she deserved. At first, she didn't want to eat, she only stared blankly at the walls. She doesn't want to go out and she doesn't want to be touched by anyone other than Erwin and Hange. Erwin and Hange begged her to eat though.

Slowly, she regained her self-esteem and happiness back. She didn't go to school for a week after the incident but then she went back after she is ready. At first, Erwin himself or trusted subordinates of him like Miche would drop (Y/n) at school and picked her up again once school ended. She was still traumatized by walking alone. But, she is slowly, regaining her courage back again.

She even opened up to Mikasa, Eren, and Armin about what happened, making them even more protective of her than they already are. Especially, Mikasa. She looked as if she was ready to kill someone who hurts her (Y/n), including her own father. (Y/n) appreciates her friend's thoughts but also begs them to not overdone something.

Hange visited (Y/n) almost every time she got her day off too. She'd play around with her, help her with science experiments, and many more.

Levi...Well, he tried visiting (Y/n) for countless times. Almost every day, he came to Erwin Smith's house. But almost every time he comes,(Y/n) refuses to meet him. She wasn't ready to meet him yet. She is still too scared. Levi gave her letters but up until now, she hasn't read any of it.

But somehow, today she is ready to read the letters. She opened them one by one and read the contents.

(Y/n). I know an apology won't ever be enough. I don't know what will. But, I will still apologize for everything. I've messed up so badly. I fucking did, no doubt about that. I've neglected my only daughter. My own blood. I know. I didn't deserve you at all after all that happened. But, I want to start over. Please give your dad another chance.

She puts down that one then opened another one,

How are you today? Now that I think of it, I never ask how you were ever since your mother died. I never paid any attention to you, I only thought money would cover all of that. But I was wrong. It could never replace anything. I realized this... Way too late. My behavior costs you something. I'm sorry. I truly am.

Slowly, she felt her body shaking from all the bottled emotions, but she keeps reading other letters until finally the most recent one.

(Y/n). You are my daughter. No matter what, nothing will change the fact that you are mine and hers. But, if you prefer someone else to be your dad... It's... Alright. Maybe, Erwin is better than me. Growing up, he must be more like a father to you than I am. Did I really lose you for real now? I'm sorry... But now... I just wish for your happiness. If your happiness lies in someone else's hand, that's fine for me. As long as you are happy, I will try to make you happy. I love you, (Y/n). Always have been and always will be. I may have lost my sight before, but even then I know, deep down, I do love you. Please... I'd do anything, to see you smile again. Even if it's not for me.

(Y/n) lets out a sob. Then she threw all the letters away and slammed herself to her bed. She buried her face onto the pillow and cry herself out. She hates it. Not just her father but herself.

She wanted to go back to her father's arms. She wanted to give him another chance but she's afraid of doing so. What if he returned to his cold self after a while? She doesn't want to be rejected, neglected, and ignored anymore. She had enough of it.

Inside, she is also angry. It takes a horrifying incident for him to finally do this. What if there weren't any incidents? Would he still care?

(Y/n) slowly hit herself then she scratched herself, screaming. She injured herself but she doesn't feel the pain, it's not as much as what she feels inside. How her hearts are shattered.
