 ‘Your lipstick stains

On the front lobe of my left-side brains

I knew I wouldn’t forget you and so I went and let you blow my mind.’

I came to library to study. I spend most of my time here anyways. It’s nice in here. I also brought my prized possession: my IPod, got to have the music with me at ALL times. I have a History test tomorrow YAY, not! I hate tests, I always think I’m going to fail them.

Thirty minutes of reading got me: King Philip decided to colonize in America after Columbus claimed the land for Spain. Sir Francis Drake raided the Spanish armada –which basically ruled the Atlantic Ocean- thus making free for any other country to settle in North America. King Philip told Queen Elizabeth. The told her that the pirate should be punished. Instead she rewarded him. This broke out into war.

I’m literally in the zone. I’m into the passage in the history book (probably because of the conflict within the story) that I became unaware of my surroundings. My left earphone came off or so I thought. I looking for earphone never looking away from the book and then I hear it.

                                             “Lights will guide you home

                                             And ignite you bones

And I will try to fix you.”

I turned around to find Finn, FINN with my earphone in his ear SINGING!!! This boy never sings!  “Jeez J any closer and you’ll eat the book!”  “Ha-ha real funny Finny,” “And since when you sing? And what are you doing, in the library of all places?” I asked. He’s been everywhere I am lately. “Well I needed to study and what better way to do it than with you! As for the singing, Always I just never sing out loud unless no one is around.” He said while pulling out his math book. This is weird. Why is he singing around me then? Does he feel comfortable around me then? “Well then study away.” I said with a friendly smile. I don’t want him thinking that I’m taken by surprise with his vocal abilities.

We left the library at around 7pm. We had studied for 3 exams and I had gone through 93 of the 947 songs in my IPod. “Do you want Starbucks on me?”Finn asked.  “Considering that free things and Starbuck are my two favorite things, yes I would very much enjoy Starbucks on you.”

“Hello and welcome to Starbucks! Can I take your order?”Caroline asked. “Yes I’ll have a grande Caramel Macchiato, what do you want J?” “I’ll have the usual please.” I smiled politely. “Coming right up.” Caroline is usually happy to the point of abnormality. We moved up the line and waited for our coffee. ”You know her?” Finn asked. “Finn I spend half of my life in here it’d be weird if I didn’t.” I replied.
