Chapter Twenty-Three

“You just ran out of the apartment and left them there? Without even saying anything?!” Maya exclaimed at me. I cringed at her loud voice and so did a few others who were walking by us. We were currently out shopping going from shop to shop in downtown London.

“For the last time, yes! What’s the big deal about it?”

Maya huffed. “The big deal is that your ex boyfriend that you hadn’t seen or talked to in six months walks in and you just storm out! It’s been six months, Rachel. SIX MONTHS!”

“Maya could you not be so loud? People are already giving us weird stares,” I said glancing at the old couple sending us stern looks.

“Sorry, got a little carried away there,” she sheepishly smiled.

The boys would lose fans, which meant the ticket sales would drop which would take away their money. I couldn’t do that to them, especially after their release of their new album. They’ve worked so hard and I don’t want to be the reason that all of the hard work goes in the garbage.

“What’s so bad about admitting that you still have feelings for him?” Maya wondered.

“Okay fine, I still do. But things are just complicated right now. Can we please change the subject?”

We kept on walking until we stopped at a bookstore that had a little kiosk outside with some of the recent bestsellers. One book caught my eye and I picked it up, reading the words on the front cover, The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I had heard about this book and how there was already a movie out with Logan Lerman. Oh man, he was dreamy. And his eyes, oh those eyes. You could easily get lost in them just by how beautiful they-
