Nancy Corbin

Chapter 3 

    Getting the eggs from Jen Hystory was a costly endeavor, however the only way a time travel weapon can be made is to for Nancy Corbin to create her own. Nancy once commanded a secret military sub-group within Genetech that was a hundred men and women strong, now her crew is down to her, her husband Gary, the army surgeon Joe Smith, and two traitors from Mrs. Wallaces security forces, Tim and Paul O' Shea, brothers from northern Ireland recruited after the peace talks were official there in 1998. Luckily the brothers had some contacts still from there IRA days and managed some off the grid transportation to a quiet off the path place to lay low for a while while Nancy figures out how to proceed with her plans. The five of them disembark a frieght ship in Kazakhstan near the Port Aktau Commercial and Customs buildings, the IRA had used an abandoned building that was more like a bunker near the waterfront of the Caspian sea. This part of the world is familiar to Gary and Nancy, having been in various organizations over the years, they have worked missions in Kazakhstan, Chechnya, Russia, Afghanistan, Russia, and Iran, which is at the south end of the Caspian sea. 

     As they walk wearily into the building the O'shea brothers have found for them, Nancy perks up as she sees the potential of what lies before her. She leaves the four of them below as she walks up a flight of steps into what seems to be a state of the art laboratory, well state of the art for Kazakhstan. She walks through the lab and all the dusty equipment and runs her evil ideas through her evil mind. Then as she walks over to a large tarp covered machine she becomes estatic as she reveals a gene sequencer, and a large smile develops on her bitter, evil face.

"Will it be to your liking Mrs. Corbin?" asks Tim as she walks back out of the upstairs room.

"It's perfect, you hit it right on the head young man, I could kiss you!" She exclaims as she walks back down the stairs and actually kisses Tim right in front of her husband.

"Nancy!" Gary exclaims.

"Lighten up, they did good," Nancy gloats, "everybody come close and let me tell you our plan."  

The other four gather around Nancy as she explains how they will proceed from here, with what is probably her most prized possession, the small refrigerated tube containing Jen's unfertilized eggs.

"I will say it again, this is a great place for us to do our work from, Great job Tim and paul. Now we need to get this lab up and running, so we will have to open a dummy business to hide what we are actually doing. We will start a company that will deal with improving the human Immune system, the goal will be to make humans less susceptible to viruses and bacteria. This will hide the true mission of what we do here and that will be developing a time travel weapon." Nancy begins explaining.

"You keep saying that, but is that even possible?" Tim asks.

"Absolutley, as a matter of fact they already exist, I put a knife in the chest of one back at that Farm in Missouri." Nancy brags.

"If she is a weapon, then why didn't she use her power..." Tim begins to ask when Nancy cuts him off.

"Because she is a goody two shoes, she would never use her abilities to harm anyone, she is even trying to develop a drug to suppress her abilities. Which is why she probably couldn't defend against us, she is highly intelligent and has probably already created a suppressant drug, and has been using it on herself until she knows it is safe." Nancy explains.

"Now Gary we need to hire me  some lab techs, good but not too good. We will need to get this place cleaned up so Joe I need you to get some laborers in here and I want it spotless!" Nancy begins to bark orders...
