Chapter 11

"So you got drunk with a couple of boys from 1692 in Scotland?" Mrs. Wallace asks.

"I was just trying to fit in," Max explains.

"Sam you were taken by a soldier to the MacDonald castle and made to work?" Mrs. Wallace asks.

"Yes, I already told you this," Sam relies frustrated,"What's the big deal?"

"I'm trying to figure out why you had to go back to that time? What were you there to do?" Jen informs them.

"I don't know why, It seemed kind a like a vacation. Unlike the other events I had fun and enjoyed myself," Max explains.

"Yea, you told us," Jen replies.

Everyone stays seated in the living room because Seamus is supposed to be showing up to explain how he came to be with the group at the farm. The begin to get bored waiting and Sam gets up and turns on the TV, they begin watching the show 'Raising hope'.

"HERE WE GO! OH-OH-OHHH! OH-OH-OHHH!" Everyone in the room shouts as the shows theme song starts the show.

Jen and Mrs. Wallace turn and walk out of the room a little bit nervous, the look out the windows and nothing is moving but the constant patrols around the perimeter. Anne and the kids seem to be enjoying the silly show about a disfunctional family who raise a young girl, as laughter explodes from the living room. With no one in sight Jen and Mrs. Wallace retreat to the kitchen for a talk.

"I wonder where Angus is today?" Mrs. Wallace asks, "He was gone when I got up."

"I haven't seen him all day, and its only an hour until noon," Jen says.

"I asked the others of the Thirteen that are here and they said the same thing, "Mrs. Wallace states.

Jen sits quietly sipping her coffee and thinking on the day, Mrs. Wallace busies herself with texting all of her security people here on the farm to keep an eye out for Angus, and to notify her when he comes back. The kids have watched one episode and are continuing to the next, as the show starts they break out in their "Oh-Oh-Ohhh! chant again.

"Can I ask you a personal question," Jen asks.

"Sure honey, you can me anything. I can only answer those questions that aren't classified though. So what is it that you want to know?" Mrs. Wallace asks.

"How old is Angus, and what is the problem between him and Seamus?" Jen asks.

"Well neither of those are simple questions, I think Angus is around seventy  years old," Mrs. Wallace replies.

"Holy crap! Seventy five, that's a lot older than I thought. I mean he looks that old, but he moves like a man of forty. When I gave him his checkup he had no health problems to speak of, but his body was full of scars. I'm surprised he doesn't move like a man of ninety," Jen explains surprised.

"Angus has always prided himself on being healthy, staying in shape, and only drinking one  bottle of Scotch per week."

"You mean he drinks fifty two bottles of Scotch a year?" Jen asks.

"And has been as long as I have known him," Mrs. Wallace explains.

"What's his problem with Seamus?" Jen asks.

"Well that goes back a bit, you see we had been on assignment in a little town in Chechnya. And the stress of all the missions we had been on was getting to Seamus, Angus had worked with Seamus' Father in Belfast and had seen his father go insane and try to kill a whole family for no reason. He claimed they were bomb makers, but after it was all over nothing was ever found," Mrs. Wallace explains.
