Episode 5

As Cheng Yu dispersed from her friend, Feng Jiu walked to her Palace before she overheard some of her maids talking about Lord Dijun. Transforming into her fox form, she went behind a tree to eavesdrop, glad for her enhanced hearing in her fox form.

"There's a rumour going about about what Lord Dijun did, like way before the current Empress and Emperor were born" one of them said.

"I heard he erased his name from the Rock of Three Incarnations, because a woman broke his heart" another said.

"Our poor Lady, she fell in love with the emotionless god who will never find love" another said.

"Do I hear gossip?" Cha Cha's voice calls our and Feng Jiu turned her head around the corner a little to see her personal maid walking out of the Palace.

Feng Jiu transformed back into her human form and walked through the gate and they all turned to bow to her and moved aside for her to walk through.

After a while, Feng Jiu remembered that she had to finish her errands back in Qing Qiu, she rushed from her Palace and vanished, appearing before the gates between Realms.

When Feng Jiu appeared in Qing Qiu, she walked to her fox den, there for the second time stood Dijun, who turned on her arrival, she bowed her head and spoke the Qing Qiu greeting to him before allowing him into her fox den.

"This is the second time you have come here" Feng Jiu said as Mi Gu entered the room, greeting them both before going to fetch some tea.

"Your aunt told me you might be in love with me" Dijun said as Feng Jiu froze, the cup frozen at her lips without a sound.

"Oh, she did?" Feng Jiu asked looking at him, moving the cup from the mouth and setting it down.

'Should I ask him about the Rock of Three Incarnations?' she asked herself, before taking a deep breath.

"I have a question" Feng Jiu said as he looked up at her.

"Yes?" he asked.

"Did you erase your name from the Rock of Three Incarnations?" Feng Jiu asked bravely.

"Yes, I can't change my decision for it, once it's done, it's done" he said and she moved her hand which knocked over the cup of tea and splashed onto her dress.

As Dijun had started to get up form his spot, she held a hand out to him before she stood up herself.

"What if I disagree? What if I don't like what you did? Maybe if I have of been born before you made this decision, would you still have done it?" Feng Jiu yelled angry at him.

"If I have of met you before I made that decision, I would not have made it in the first place" Dijun said as Feng Jiu turned on her heel and vanished from sight.

'You have no idea how badly I want to put my name back on there, to have it beside yours' Dijun thought to himself, staring after her.

Feng Jiu found herself at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the Rock of Three Incarnations, running up the stairs, she tripped and fell onto her hands and knees, she then crawled the rest of the way up, tears streaming down her face.

"I know there is a way to put it back there, I will put your name back on there' she thought to herself as she kept climbing.

As the rock came into view, she fell to her knees before the rock, her fox tails appearing from behind her as she used her magic to cut one of her tails off.

Feng Jiu knew the consequences of cutting one of her tails off, that it would be life threatening to her as she spat blood from her mouth, willing her tails away. 

She held the tail in her hands as she transformed it into a magical object that was sharp.

Crawling closer to the rock, her tears spilling from her eyes, blood dripping from her mouth, she shakily held the sharp tip of her object to the rock, she started to etch his name back onto the rock.

But trying as she could, the letters of his name faded away into the wind and she kept going, each time fading away.

'This can't be happening, why won't it take his name back?' Feng Jiu thought as she lost the strength to keep going as she leaned her head down on her arms and wished that she could bring his name back, even if it wasn't paired with hers.

"Please I beg of you" Feng Jiu cried "let him have his name back on the rock" she added in a whisper before she fainted, her eyes closing as her birth mark on her forehead started to glow.

When Feng Jiu was able to gain consciousness, she looked around the dark area, like she was in a black hole.

A white ghostly figure appeared before her and Feng Jiu asked her who she was and where she was.

"I am the rock of Three Incarnations, I have heard your plea, Queen Bai Feng Jiu of Qing Qiu, your plea to bring back Lord Dijun's name to the rock" the figure said.

"I will do anything, I'll even sacrifice myself for him to have his happy ending" Feng Jiu said, kneeling in front of the figure.

"Then you must sacrifice your place by his side, you have succeeded in your obligations for a romance trial to ascend to High Goddess, your romance trial will have hardships that you must have succeeded" the figure said as Feng Jiu nodded.

"I will do as you say, I will leave my love for him and my place by his side, for him to find someone to spend the rest of his life with" Feng Jiu said and bowed her head as the figure disappeared and Feng Jiu was swallowed by blackness.

Dijun returned to his Palace, wondering if Feng Jiu had come here, a maid entered his Palace and announce the Empress who followed behind the maid.

Dijun nodded to her presence as she walked up to him.

"Mi Gu told me about what happened in the fox den between you and my niece" Bai Qian said.

"He told me that Feng Jiu went to the Rock of Three Incarnations" Bai Qian added looking at him

'You better not do what I think your doing Feng Jiu' Dijun thought to himself as he walked past Bai Qian and vanished in purple swirly magic before appearing at the steps to the Rock of Three Incarnations.

Walking up the stairs as Bai Qian followed him, he found that Feng Jiu was not there, but there was a magical object lying in front of the rock.

Stepping forward to pick up the object, he inspected it, seeing that it was the same colour as Feng Jiu's fur, Bai Qian moved around him before taking the object from him.

"Feng Jiu" Bai Qian said before looking to him, telling him the object came from her niece. Dijun looked to the rock to find that his name was beside a woman's name.

"Ji Heng" Dijun said as Bai Qian walked closer to the rock to inspect the name beside his.

"She put your name back" Bai Qian said, the magical object fell from her hands to the ground as she covered her mouth with her hands.

Si Ming then appeared before seeing that his name was beside the Demon Realm's Princess as he looked to his friend in shock.

"What just happened?" Si Ming asked.
