Episode 13

As the morning sun hit through the windows and into Xiaobai's eyes, she opened them softly and found Prince Shen Ye sleeping beside her.

Her blanket was wrapped around them both as she had then realised that they had slept together last night.

Getting out of bed and getting dressed, Xiaobai dismissed Cha Cha when she came to her chamber and she bowed before the Princess went to get some food.

After making some food and bringing it back, she returned to from the royal kitchen to find Shen Ye walking from her bed to the table having just woken up. When he saw her, a smile lit his face and told her that he was going to pack to bring to her Kingdom.

"You don't want to eat before you go?" she asked as she set the tray on the table. Dijun then grabbed her by the waist and held her in his arms. She looked up at him, then huffed at him before trying to get out of his arms.

But he held on tightly, not letting go of the woman he loved, he kissed her lovingly.

"I love love to eat food made by you" he said after kissing her and looked at her bright red face as she moved from his arms and he sat at the table to eat the food she had made for him.

As he ate, she packed her stuff she brought with her to his Kingdom, even the items she bought in the village to bring home to her mother, after he finished, he helped her finish the rest of her packing before going back to his room.

While he was gone, she thought about what they had done last night, her face going red with embarrassment. Never in her life had she ever done that before, but she felt more in love with him then she ever had when she met him for the first time.

After the maids loaded their belongings into the carriage, the Imperial Princess and Prince sat inside the carriage with Cha Cha on the back, dangling her legs and Qingti riding behind on a horse.

Xiaobai and Dijun chatted along the way, her laugh rang out from the carriage and Cha Cha smiled to herself, glad that her mistress was having fun.

They stopped occasionally for Xiaobai to stretch her legs, she was used to travelling, but she hated having sore legs when she arrived at her destinations.

As they entered the borders and through the gates to the Wei Kingdom, they were greeted by the Imperial Empress on her horse wearing official royal robes. They stopped and Xiaobai got out, she ran to her mother and hugged her affectionately.

"Welcome home my beautiful daughter" the Empress said and kissed her daughters head.

"I am finally home mother, it was fun" the Princess said as Dijun appeared by her side and greeted the Empress.

"Welcome back" the Empress said and the Prince bowed his head to her and told her it was a pleasure to come back.

As they were escorted to the Imperial Palace, the Empress walked with them into the throne room to discuss the letter her daughter sent to her.

"I read your letter Xiaobai, I am glad that you have agreed to now settle down, I hope the travel was kind to you both" the Empress said.

"It was amazing, we missed on the last few nights of the festival, but I had already seen it all throughout the first night" Xiaobai said with a happy smile.

As they settled in their Palace room together since they had decided to marry, the Princess sat at the window as her maid unloaded her cases of stuff back to where they belonged. The Prince sat beside her and took her hand in his as she smiled.

Once her maid was finished, Xiaobai gave her a present that she bought for her mother and asked her to deliver it for her before they spent time alone since that night they slept together.

Xiaobai then went to sit by her window as Dijun stayed seated at the table, she had her knees to her chest and her chin resting on her knees. She kept thinking about that night, it was making her feel like she was crazy.

Turning in the spot she was sitting in, she looked to the Prince who looked back at her and she tilted her head at him.

"I feel like I know you from somewhere" she said but he shook his head at her.

"We used to be childhood friends?" he asked and she shook her head at him this time.

"Never mind, my head hurts a little thinking about it" she said and got up, walking to her bed before she collapsed to the ground, feeling dizzy.

Dijun rushed from his seat when he saw her collapse and he called for Cha Cha who rushed in and shocked as she was, covered her mouth with her hands.

"Get a physician" he said to her and she rushed from the room, running to the throne room where the Empress was.

After Xiaobai was put to bed and checked out, he gave them his answer, that she was stressed out from the upcoming wedding and her coronation to become the next Empress that it put a strain on her.

Dijun stayed alone with her to keep her company and be there if she needed him. He also had Cha Cha fetch some medicine from the Imperial Kitchen for her and some food when she woke up.

When she finally woke up, he sat beside her with her prescribed medicine for her to take. Sitting up beside him with his arm around her, he held the bowl to her mouth.

She drank the bitter medicine, coughing from the taste and wiped her mouth from the excess liquid.

"That is really disgusting" she said as he smiled a little as they sat there for a while. Soon after, Xiaobai got out of bed and he helped her walk along the courtyard of her Palace.

Ending up at the pavilion in her backyard, Dijun asked Cha Cha for some sweets and watched her walk off to get them.

Watching him stare after Cha Cha, Xiaobai started to doubt his feelings for her but shook it off as they began talking little by little about the wedding.

Cha Cha came back carrying a tray of sweets as well as a pot of tea and three empty cups, she was followed by the Empress who had come to visit.

"Your awake" the Empress said, sitting beside her slightly pale daughter and smiled at her.

"I am fine now, good a new, I just needed some rest" Xiaobai said and hugged her mother, grateful that she had her mother who loved her.

After they conversed, the Empress excused herself and returned back to her Palace while Xiaobai ended back in bed, taking a nap after excusing herself from the table.

Tossing and turning in her bed, she dreamed of a world with him, where they were married and had a son whom she named Bai Gun gun.
