Hope's Peak Academy, a government funded school for students with exceptional talents. The students have come from all over the country, some internationally. Each one was unique with sporting an "Ultimate Talent". Not every student was the same. However, there were things about some of its students that were to never meant to be known to the public.

Kaito Momota sat in the library. He secluded himself away from most of the other students. He sat alone at a table, an leather bound journal that his grandfather had given him. No one had bothered to approach him, focused more on either what they were reading in a book or engrossed in their studies. Kaito blended in with a textbook laying open out in front of him, but he didn't pay any attention to it. He was only tapping his pencil nervously on the desk as he narrowed his eyes at today's date in his journal. He had the urge to put on his right sleeve of his galaxy themed coat, as he felt a horrible chill run through his body. This wasn't anything new, he should be used to this by now. So why did he keep getting horrible feelings at times like this? Maybe the older he gets, the easier it will be.
"There you are."
Kaito was snapped out of his worry as soon as he heard a familiar voice. When he looked up, he saw a dark blue haired boy approach him. He wore a black uniform that had white pinstripes. He wore a hat on top of his head that was also black with three stripes on the back of it and a silver star pinned near the front. His comfortable looking shoes were silent as he walked over to where Kaito was sitting.
"Wondered where you disappeared to." He spoke quietly as he sat down next to Kaito.
"Sorry, Shuichi. Just got a lot on my mind at the moment. You know, homework and all that." Kaito smiled nervously, before looking down at the open books in front of him.
"Yeah? Is it something to do with your journal?" Shuichi asked, recognising the book in front of his friend.
"Neeheehee! Looks like Kaito's all twitchy just by looking at it!" A playful sounding voice interrupted before Kaito could answer. A short boy stepped out from behind a book case, showing that he had been spying on Kaito for a while. He had purple eyes and moderately long blackish purple hair. He wore a white suit with straps on his arms and legs and black shoes. His shirt had different coloured buttons and had a short chain on the neck and the back of the shirt. It was also a little ripped at the hem and was held together by metal clips. A black and white checkered scarf was wrapped around his neck. He had this innocent look on his face, making him seem more like a young child than a teenager.
"Oh fuck off, you brat!" Kaito growled, not in the mood for this. It was like a light was switched at that moment. The boy instantly lost his happy look. He looked depressed, his lower lip quivering. Then, he suddenly burst out wailing like a toddler having a tantrum.
"How could you say that to me?! WWWAAAHHHHHHHHH! YOU'RE SO MEAN!" He wailed, earning glares from other students who were trying to focus on what they were doing. Kaito kept his head down as he was slowly starting to get on his last nerve. Not to mention he felt like a few glares were fired at him as well. Apparently all this wailing was making him seem like the bad guy.
"Don't even try Kokichi. We know you're not crying for real." Shuichi sighed, rolling his eyes a little. Again, it was like a switch had been switched as the boy suddenly stopped crying. He had this gleeful and excited expression on his face.
"Wow! You figured it out that quick?! No wonder you're the Ultimate Detective." He beamed. Some students groaned quietly, muttering at how stupidly childish Kokichi was being right now.
"And you're the Ultimate Annoying Gnome. Now go away." Kaito grumbled, his shoulders tensing up. Shuichi started to look worried as he recognised the stance that Kaito was in. It meant that if Kokichi pushed the wrong buttons, then his friend would probably start losing it. Kokichi however was either oblivious or having too much fun as he strolled over to the table and looked over Kaito's shoulder.
