Jeremy and Jenna continue to have dinner and talk about their day.
"Have you picked a topic?" Jenna asks as Jeremy looks up at her
"No, not yet. It's gotta be local and non-internet research, so..."
"That's easy! You've got all your dad's stuff." She says as Jeremy looks confused
"What stuff?" Jeremy asks
"How the Gilberts came over on the Mayflower" stuff, all that family lineage from way back. Your dad really loved all that family history stuff. It's all boxed up in the closet."
Alaric approaches Jenna and Jeremy at their table.
"Mr. Saltzman." Jeremy says as Alaric looks at him
"Jeremy. What's up, man?" He says offering his hand
Jeremy takes it then looks at Jenna. "This is my aunt, Jenna."
Alaric shakes her hand. "Alaric Saltzman. It's nice to meet you."
"Jeremy was just telling me about his paper. Thanks for giving him another chance." Jenna says smiling at him
"It was my first day. I wanted to make a good impression." He said as they smile

Damon is drinking at the bar. Stefan approaches him.
"So, Stefan...You know, I've been thinking. I think we should start over, give this brother thing another chance. We used to do it, oh-so well, once upon time." Stefan says imitating him as he goes to sit down
"I don't, Damon. I can't trust you to be a nice guy. You kill everybody, and you're so mean. You're so mean, and..." he gives up on mocking him. "You're really hard to imitate, and then I have to go to that lesser place..."
Stefan talks to the bartender. "Can I get a coffee, please?" He looks back at Damon. "So, what's with the bottle?"
"I'm on edge. Crash diet. You know, I'm trying to keep a low profile." Damon says in a semi sarcastic way
"You could always just leave, find a new town to turn into your own personal Gas 'n' Sip." Stefan joked a bit
"I'll manage. You don't have to keep an eye on me." Damon says as he looks over at him
"I'm not here to keep an eye on you."
"So, why are you here?" Damon asks a bit suspicious
"Why not?" He responds
Gilbert House
Bonnie, Caroline, and Elena are preparing dinner. Elena gives Caroline a look.
Caroline sigh. "I'm sorry. There. I said it. If you want the ugly-ass necklace, keep it. It's yours." Caroline says
Bonnie looks guilty. "Will you hate me if I tell you I threw it away?" She says as Caroline turns to look at her
"You threw it away?" Caroline asks annoyed
"I know it sounds crazy, but the necklace was giving me nightmares. I had to get rid of it." Bonnie said as Caroline gets a little flustered
"You could have just given it back to me." She snickered
Elena interrupts. "Why? So you could give it back to Damon?" She asks
"Screw Damon. Are we doing manicures or what? Who has their kit?" Caroline asks
"Mine's in my bag." Bonnie says
Caroline rifles through Bonnie's purse for the manicure kit. "So, Elena...how long do you think this fight with Stefan's gonna last? Is it...like a permanent thing?" She asks
