Relationship Complications

Lily posted the week's announcements on the Gryffindor bulletin board.

Marlene, Alice and Sophia ran over to Lily and enveloped her in a group hug.

"We miss having you in our dorm room!" Marlene sighed.

"I miss being with you guys too!" she smiled sadly at the trio.

Sirius Black came up to the four friends and smirked.

"Hey Mar. I was wondering where you wanted to meet to go to Hogsmeade?"

"What? I never agreed to go with you!" Marlene snapped.

"Woah! I just assumed you would take up the offer. I mean.....I'm Sirius Black!" Sirius chuckled and winked at Mar.

"No! I am not going to Hogsmeade with you!" she grumbled and walked away.

Sirius looked flustered and smelled his armpits.

"Ew!" the girls said in unison,"Marlene is way out of your league!"

Sirius just shrugged and sprinted after Marlene.

Alice giggled,"He really likes her. Will he ever stop trying?"

Lily and Sophia exchanged glances and giggled too. They could still hear Marlene screaming at Sirius through the portrait and down the hall.

"Alright! I have to go guys! Head Girl's duty's call!" she hugged her friends, then rushed to the Head's dorm.

Lily pulled out her wand and tidied up her room. Her bed remade itself and her schoolbag flew into her hand.

She sighed and knocked on James' door.

She got no answer, so she tried the door knob. The knob twisted and the door opened.

When Lily walked in she smiled. James was sprawled across his bed, his glasses and wand were on his nightstand. His hair was even messier than usual and he had no shirt on. Lily couldn't help but stare. He was quite adorable when he was sleeping.

She walked over to his side and said, "James. James! Wake up!"

Her angelic voice resonated off the walls and James stirred slightly.

Lily caught a glance of his beautiful amber eyes. She shook him slightly and he jumped up. He bonked his head on hers and they both yelped.

"Ouch!"

Lily winced and left to let him get dressed. She waited downstairs and read The Fault In Our Stars.

When James finally came downstairs, his hair was wet and messy, his glasses were slightly askew, his robes were wrinkled and his school bag was falling down his shoulder.

"Good morning....again." James smiled lopsidedly.

Lily stood and smiled back,"Good morning to you too. Now are you ready for our first official day as Heads? And we have to accompany the other students to Hogsmeade this Saturday."

"Oh....about that," James rubbed the back of his neck nervously,"uh....I, uh.....would you, I-I mean- would you like to, uh- go to that-uh trip with m-me?"

Lily's heart did a gymnastics routine and James blushed.

"Oh....sorry, I know you don't really like me," James stared at his feet and Lily rushed to speak.

"No! I-I mean....sure. I would love to go with you." she smiled at him and her feet seemed to move without her permission.

She leaned in and kissed him. His eyes widened and she blushed. She started to pull away, embarrassed, but he pulled her close. She tangled her fingers in his silky, soft hair. He pulled her closer, and held her waist. She felt like she was finally alive. White-hot passion coursed through her.
