Legacy and Miya usually spent all morning cooking and cleaning for thanksgiving. Legacy and Miya never did a traditional thanksgiving dinner. Miya usually buys movies and pulls out all the blankets. She also cleans around the apartment. Legacy makes some food for them to eat, usually an old bay turkey boil with some Mac and cheese and cornbread.
They pray and say what they are thankful for before watching movies on the couch wrapped up in their blankets eating. They both would clean up the next morning after spending the night on the couch together. Then they would go on about their day.
That's their tradition as best friends but this year was going to be different.
Lorenzo's family invited everyone over for thanksgiving dinner including Jas and Miya. Legacy didn't want to go because she liked her tradition with Miya but she agreed to it because then she would properly meet the rest of his family.
Legacy's mother was invited to the dinner as well but she politely declined because she was going to do thanksgiving with her new boyfriend and family. Legacy wasn't mad about it because she hasn't done thanksgiving with her mother in years just from the fact that they don't have that same relationship they use to have in a while.
Because Legacy was seven months pregnant, they had to do a road trip to Lorenzo's parents house. Legacy loved road trips but pregnant road trips were the worst things ever to do.
Legacy has to stop every twenty minutes to go to the bathroom. Then all the snacks and food Lorenzo packed was gone in just a hour of them driving except for the sweet potato pie legacy made for his family.
It was hard for her resist it though. It was smelling amazing.
Legacy was nervous about this dinner though because before she was pregnant she was a picky eater and ever since she got pregnant she was much worse of a picky eater. She made expressions which she didn't like something and she always tried to hold back from making expressions but she always failed.
Legacy ain't play when it came to food.
"How much until we get there" Legacy asked Lorenzo looking at him. He looked at his GPS and sighed.
"Just about a three hours baby" He said sending her a small smile. She nodded before rolling down her window. Legacy chose to wear one of Lorenzo's sweatshirts with some shorts on underneath. She had a pair of black fluzzy slides on that Lorenzo really didn't want her wearing but knew those were going to be the most comfortable for her.
Miya and Jas were following Lorenzo in Jas' car behind them. Jas wanted to drive in one car but Miya said no because she knew how crazy Legacy was with road trips especially now that she's pregnant.
It was around two in the afternoon. The thanksgiving dinner doesn't start until seven in the evening. Legacy didn't like that but chose not to say anything and complain. Lorenzo had stopped at a nice diner about a hour ago for some lunch. Miya and Legacy loved the little diner.
Legacy sighed as she leaned her head back on the headrest. She closed her eyes as she yawned covering her mouth. Rubbing her belly softly, she slowly fell to sleep.

"Baby wake up" Lorenzo said and Legacy groaned not wanting to wake up. He sighed before opening his door and got out. He handled the bags to Jas who raised her eyebrow at him.
"Take these please I need to get Legacy" Lorenzo said and she nodded before walking into the hotel. Miya was already inside checking them in. They decided to share a room together and get a two bed room.Lorenzo's mother offered to have them stay at their house but Lorenzo turned down that idea.
Lorenzo walked to Legacy's side of the car before lifting her up out of the car. She was heavy with carrying a extra person but not heavy enough for Lorenzo to have to struggle to carry her. He carried her inside and Jas led him to the elevator where Miya was waiting. He walked in after Jas and Miya presser the fifth floor.
"She looks less like a demon when she's sleep" Jas said looking at Legacy. Miya gasped and hit Jas' arm making her wince.
"Stop it" Miya said and the elevator stopped on the fifth floor. They were only staying one night and Legacy and Lorenzo are going to drive to her parents place tomorrow to see them. It was a five hour drive from Lorenzo's parents house which was better because from Legacy's place it was a twelve hour drive.
"Wow this is nice" Miya said as she opened the door with the card. They all walked in and Lorenzo went to Lay Legacy down on one of the beds.

"Damn Lorenzo you hooked us up" Jas said as she put the bags down. She went to the couch and laid down on it sighing softly in delight.
"I suggest y'all take a nap or something" Miya said as she laid down on the bed that Legacy's wasn't laying on.
"Why I'm not tired" Jas asked as she walked into the little room where the beds were.
"We were just in a car for seven hours I think you want to sleep babe" Miya said pulling Jas in the bed. She kissed her teeth and laid down. Miya tangled herself in her arms and kissed her cheek.
"She's right because I'm tired as fuck from all that driving" Lorenzo said and Jas nodding agreeing. It was a lot of driving even though Miya took over after the fourth hour.
"We got to be up in a hour though" Miya said before closing her eyes.
Lorenzo laid down on his and legacy's bed. Legacy mumbled in her sleep before curling herself against Lorenzo. He smiled and kissed the back of her neck before wrapping his arms around her as he pulled the covers over them.
