THIRD PERSON POV

It's been twelve hours since the car accident. Legacy and Miya have both been admitted to the hospital. Legacy was unresponsive when they were admitted but Miya continued to scream

"I can't feel my legs"

The doctors aren't allow to give any information to any one besides parents or family. Lorenzo and Jas sat in the waiting room angrily that they weren't getting any news but Legacy's mother was on her way.

"Wheres my girlfriend" Lorenzo screamed as he busted into hospital. He looked around before hurrying to the front desk.

"Sir calm down please what's your girlfriend's name?" The lady at the front desk asked as she stood up.

"Legacy Carter" Lorenzo said as he looked at her. The lady typed the name in before sighing softly.

"She just arrived so there is no news on her right now sir. Please just wait in the waiting room." The lady says pointing to the waiting room.

Lorenzo frowned angrily before heading to the waiting room where he sighed and sat down.

"This is irritating as fuck" Jas mumbled as she sat next to Lorenzo.

"Hopefully Ms.Carter is almost here" Lorenzo sighed running a hand down his face. He was tired and could barely sleep in these uncomfortable chairs but he refused to leave until he got news that Legacy was okay.

"Wheres my baby!" A lady screamed and Lorenzo looked up to see it was Ms.Carter. Lorenzo quickly stood to his feet and hurried to her.

"Mama C" He said grabbing her hand making her turn to him. She quickly hugged him happy that he was okay at least.

"What happened? is Legacy and Miya okay?" Ms.Carter said worriedly and Jas walked up to them with a sigh.

"They won't tell us anything because we aren't family" Jas said angrily as she rolled her eyes.

"What is going on with my babies" Ms.Carter said angrily as she turned to the doctors who were standing looking at them.

"Names?" A doctor said as he walked out of a room.

"Kamiya Williams and Legacy Carter" she said looking at him.

"Well I can give news on Kamiya" The doctor said as he grabbed a clipboard. Ms.Carter nodded and walked closer to him with Jas quickly behind her.

"I'm sorry ma'am only family" the doctor said looking at Jas.

"She is family now you better tell us what the fuck is going on with Kamiya before I show you how anger I am right now" Ms.Carter said and the doctor cleared this throat before nodding.

"Miya suffered a horrible hit to her knees which is why she was screaming that she couldn't feel her legs. Now lucky Miya was able to get some movement in her legs a few hours after she was admitted but she quickly lost the movement and feeling after a few minutes." the doctor said looking at the two of them. Jas shook her head as tears clouded her eyes.

"Will she be okay?" She asked looking at the doctor.

"She is paralyzed right now but I believe that it will be temporary." The doctor said and Ms.Carter smiled nodding her head.

"Do you know how long she could be paralyzed" Ms.Carter asked and Jas looked at the doctor.

"Every patient is different so there is no real say that's only truly up to Kamiya. She will definitely need to take physical therapy." He said and Ms.Carter nodded with a sigh.

"Can we see her" Jas asked and the doctor nodded.

"She is sleeping right now but I will have a nurse take you guys to her room." He said and Ms.Carter nodded smiling.

"Thank you doctor" she said before rubbing Jas' back. He nodded to her before walking away to attend to another patient.

"She's okay that's all that matter." Ms.Carter said and Jas nodded with a smile. They walked back over to Lorenzo who was back in the waiting room sitting down.

"Hey is she okay?" He asked as he saw them walking up to him.

"She's fine. She is temporarily paralyzed right now but she's stable and fine" Jas said with a smile and Lorenzo nodded. He was happy yet sad for Miya. Miya was like a sister to him so he was glad that she was at least okay.

"I'm going to go ask about Legacy" Legacy's mother said before walking away to the front desk.

"I'm glad Miya is okay" Lorenzo said to Jas who smiled.

"Yeah and I'm going to postpone the wedding until she is ready and feeling better." Jas mumbled and Lorenzo nodded in agreement.

"She's going to need you yo" Lorenzo said and Jas nodded.

"I know and I'm going to be there for her every step of the way. She may have pissed me off a lot of times but that's my baby for life." Jas said smiling as she thought about Miya.

"I shouldn't have walked away from her and left her" Lorenzo mumbled and Jas shook her head.

"Hey man we might have walked away from them because we were angry but none of this is anyone's fault except that drunk driver." Jas said softly looking at him.

"I know but I just can't help but feel so sorry and guilty about it all" He mumbled putting his face in his hands as he took a big sigh.

"Believe me I understand how you feeling" Jas mumbled sighing as she stared at the wall.

"Family for Legacy Carter" A Doctor said as he walked out of a room. Lorenzo quickly stood up going over to him and Ms.Carter hurried to him.

"How's my baby? is she okay?" Ms.Carter asked the doctor.

The doctor sighed and looked at his hands before looking back at Lorenzo and Ms.Carter.

The next words of the doctor were an "I'm sorry" before telling Lorenzo and Ms.Carter the news.

Lorenzo shook his head repeatedly as his eyes widen in shock. His mouth shouted out NO multiple times as he fell to his knees with tears running down his eyes. His hands were balled up into a fist as he shook his head again and again.

Jas rushed to Lorenzo and hugged him as he cried shaking his head. Ms.Carter had to sit down as she shook her head. She mumbled a small "oh my god" to herself as she tried to process this.
