You tiredly laid down on your bed exhausted at the fact that every company had rejected you. Frustrated because you had all the requirements but as soon as you mentioned your name they immediately rejected you. However, you still had hoped there was one company left. You heard that the CEO was a woman so you were excited about the interview. You turned off the lights as you wondered how she is like.

×The Next Morning ×

You stood up filled with ambition you walked to your closet and took out your work clothes. You got dressed grabbed the car keys and headed out. After the long traffic, you parked and looked at the phone making sure you were in the correct building. As you walked in the building everyone looked extremely elegant it almost seemed like a k-drama. You asked where the interview and they led you to a room. You sat down in a chair while the desk in front of you had some papers scattered they were resumes. The sound of the door opening grabbed your attention as you saw her take her seat without bothering to look up at you. "Hello, my name is Kim Jisoo I will be conducting the interview for today." She staked the papers into a neat pile and grabbed the resume you had summited. "Jisoo is that really you?" She looked up and smiled as she recognized you. "Y/N I missed you so much!" She said as she got off her seat and walked towards you hugging you as soon as you stood up. "How long has it been since I last saw you?" She asked as she leaned against the table. "Its been 2 years already."

"Has it really been that long?" Jisoo was your ex your relationship was perfect the thing that made you break up with her was that she was studying business in the States. While you stayed in Korea to work part-time and earn enough money. "Well, then I guess you start tomorrow." She smiled as she spoke without breaking eye contact. "We should definitely celebrate today. I'll call you and tell you where we should meet." You smiled and playfully bowed. "I guess I'll see you tonight boss." She waved as you walked to the door. You got out of the building smiling like a child.

You arrived at your apartment proud of yourself for earning a position as a secretary for a big brand. Even though it was through the help of your ex you still had all the requirements needed. You looked through your closet for an outfit to wear. You grabbed a white floral crop top with a matching skirt. As you walked to your kitchen to grab a drink you heard your phone ring you accepted the call. "Y/N are you ready my driver is outside in the parking lot."
"Yeah, I'll be out in a minute." You hanged up, put on your shoes, and walked out. You looked for her driver and you noticed a man around 30 years of age. You walked to the man as he opened the door for you to get inside you thanked him. As you waited for your destination you called Jessi. "So what you're telling me is that your boss is your ex and she just invited you to her house?"

"Yeah."

"And that doesn't seem suspicious to you?"

"What do you mean?"

"She was very possessive when you guys date she didn't even let me go see you unless she was in the same room as us. Remember what happened to Jay he almost got expelled when we were in high school because he was close to you and she was jealous. You know what that bitch is capable of so please be careful."

"You are being too harsh and she was right."

"Listen to yourself Y/N don't let her get to your head. She will take advantage of you don't let her."

"Everything will be fine you are just overreacting."

"Y/N don't go, come over and we can talk things through I'll be arriving home soon so-" the phone made a sound of an incoming call. You hanged up and called again but she didn't pick up. The car stopped as the driver headed to your side and opened the door for you. You thanked him as you headed in. The door opened and she grabbed you forearm and pulled you in. "Come on we need to celebrate." She lead you into the kitchen you touched the marble glass counter as she opened the bottle of wine pouring your drink. She held her glass high up as you did the same.

"To Y/N."
"To Jisoo." You responded.
"To us!" You giggled as you both touched the glasses and yelled with everything inside you. "To us!"
You both drank your drink as the rest of the night consisted of you and Jisoo singing karaoke and watching movies you could barely stand by the end and Jisoo had suggested that you should stay the night.

You woke up with a massive headache you then took a couple of pills for it. "Jisoo I need a ride back." She looked up from the bed and grabbed your arm pulling you in too her you yelp from the interaction. "I missed you so much." Her voice was drowsy and her arms were lazily wrapped around you. You pulled her arms off you as you stood up. "Jisoo we need to do work." She sat up and rubbed her eyes. "Okay fine, cancel all my appointments for today." She handed you a tablet that was laying next to her nightstand. You sat in the chair as you looked through her schedule. She grabbed the control and turned the t.v on to a k-drama. It took you over 30 minutes to send the emails and call in order to clear up her day. You returned it to its place once you did someone knocked on the door. "Come in!" Jisoo yelled from her bed; the man walked into the room with a suit he was bringing in your favorite meal along with her on top of a food cart. "Yay! Our food is here Y/N. Thank you Taeyong." He left the room and closed the door. "Come on Y/N lets eat." You walked next to her and sat on her bed. She pulled you closer to her and placed the plater on her bed.

The t.v changed from the k-drama to the news. The news lady placed her hands on the desk welcoming the audience. "A body of a young woman was found in her apartment yesterday after a friend went to her apartment. Jessica was found lifeless in her living room still holding on to her phone. We would like to warn the viewers because the imagines we are about to show you are graphic." The screen pointed to her body a single bullet wound on her chest. Jisoo grabbed the control and shut the t.v off. You're eyes blurred as you sobbed into your hands. "I'm sorry Y/N, I had to get rid off her she was in the way." You turned to her anger engulfed you as you stood up to run to the door. You grabbed the doorknob and shook it but it wouldn't budge. You turned around to look at her. "Come on let's eat." She began to eat from the plate as you walked to her. "If I knew you would have done this I wouldn't have accepted the job." She smirked at your little tantrum. "I always get what I want Y/N you know that. I'm the reason you were denied from the other jobs which led you back to me. I'm the reason you are able to live." She paused and drank from her cup. "Now come on and eat before you make me upset." Her bitter tone made you walk to her. You sat away at the corner of her bed. She wrapped her arms around your waist and pulled you closer to her. She smiled and kissed your cheek. "You are so cute when you are scared." She grabbed a spoon and picked up the food towards your mouth. "Come on babe you need to eat." You hesitated as you opened your mouth. "Don't be sad I'm here and I can give you everything, anything you want." You chewed on your food as she continued to talk. "I love you." She laid her head on your shoulders while you continued to think about Jessi's lifeless body.
