"Are you copying my footsteps?" You questioned as he mimicked the way you walked. He smiled and continued to walk in the same pattern as you did. The both of you were heading to the cafeteria and you stopped to sit down in your usual spot. "I'll see you tomorrow!" Chan yelled as he walked away. You waved goodbye as you watched him leave. "Oh, I see you were with your boyfriend," Lisa smirked, she placed her backpack in the chair. You did the same and stood up as you followed behind her.
"He's not my boyfriend."
"Sure he isn't" She gave you a big smile.
"Lisa he already has a girlfriend plus he's not my type."
"Then who's your type?" You turned away avoiding eye contact as you both stood in line to get your food.
"Umm...Taehyung."
"I don't know who he is."
"He just got here this year." You grabbed your plate and you waited for her to scan her id. You're a senior in high school in a small town, you know who everyone is and how they are. You both walked to your table and noticed Rosé coming your direction with her plate and next to her was Jeongyeon and Jungkook. You looked down as they sat in front of you.
"So how long have you been dating Chan?" Lisa spoke to break the tension between everyone. "Lisa, he has a girlfriend." You stabbed your food with a fork. "Who's Chan?" Jungkook spoke up confused over the guy. "Just a friend..well more like a classmate we don't talk that much."
"Sure and I didn't just see you guys basically holding hands right now."
"We weren't holding hands he was just walking next to me." Jungkook looked at Jeongyeon while she talked to Rosé. "Omg, there he is." You looked over where the library was and he was standing with his group of friends. "The one in red?" Lisa asked and everyone turned to look at him but he walked where the crowd was. "Yeah!" "I don't see him." Rosé pouted since she couldn't catch a glimpse of him. You continued to eat your food as everyone did the same.
"So Y/N how have you been?" Jungkook looked up at you not breaking eye contact.
"I've been doing alright and you?"
"Good, great." Again the awkwardness set between the both of you, you couldn't just reject his emotions but you've told him countless times that you weren't interested in him. "So Lisa are we going to finish up the project?"
"Yeah, sure I can only stay for a while."
"I'm also going, I can help if you need me too." Jungkook offered.
