Great...

Kageyama felt his chest grow heavy, emptiness clawing deeper and deeper at his heart as the distance between him and the two strangers increased. Though, in a way, they weren't strangers. He knew both of them well; but not by sight. He knew them by their voices and their laughs, by their habits and personalities.

And he knew he didn't want them to go. He didn't want to be left with Natsu and Lana, two lovely people who still made his heart pound and his anxiety skyrocket, and he certainly didn't want Oikawa to be one of the ones lingering. Kageyama could feel his expression turn to stone the second the door swung shut behind Nishinoya, Koujimi and Hinata. Natsu and Lana's presence made him shut down, anxiously tugging at his sleeves as his eyes rested on the floor. He wasn't behind his camera anymore; he wasn't the confident, talented photographer that even Oikawa admired. He was back to being himself.

Say something. Say something to them. This is a personal shoot, you're supposed to be friendly and, you know, personal! Say something, damn it! All I've said today was 'Sunset Sounds!'

Just... Speak! Speak like he does every day. He doesn't worry about the people listening to him!

Kageyama squeezed his eyes shut, trying to find the energy to at least thank Natsu and Lana.

He never did.

Kiyoko patted his shoulder, breaking him out of his concentration, before turning to deal with their clients in Kageyama's stead.

...I'm so pathetic...

"Alright, so I think that should be a wrap for us today. Kageyama and I will go over the photos together and compile what we think are the best ones, then Natsu's team and myself can plan a meeting to discuss where you want to take this. Kageyama is an amazing editor, I'm sure he'll be able to bring you and your collaborator's visions to life," Kiyoko stated curtly, her professionalism unwavering. Oikawa approached when he heard that it would be ending. As soon as he got to their little group, he felt tiny arms wrap around him.

"Thank you so much Prettykawa! Oh, whoops," Natsu paused her excited exclamation to glance at Kageyama, "it's alright if I call him that, right Kageyama? Oikawa told me that you gave him that nickname. If you don't want me calling him that, just let me know." Natsu was too overjoyed to notice the mortification on Kageyama's face. Kiyoko covered her mouth, hiding her snicker.

"Shittykawa," was all Kageyama could muster to defend his dignity, and it was barely above a whisper. He decided to leave the group before embarrassing himself or someone else any further. The photographer promptly shuffled away to get everything in order and to locate his bag.

The rest didn't dwell on Kageyama's comment and departure, and Kiyoko continued to ease out the creases in their plan. Natsu and Lana listened diligently, but Oikawa was a whole different story. He was still focused on the fact that Natsu had actually called him 'Prettykawa.'

On the outside he was cool and collected - nodding along to what Kiyoko was saying, although not paying attention to a word of it. Internally, however, he was doing a complete one-eighty. On the inside he was doing backflips and somersaults, all over the place, screaming and fanboying. He really liked Natsu, and the fact that she was standing beside him and hugging him while hearing things get planned out for something he originally arranged? To say he was ecstatic would be an understatement.

Oikawa was interested in Natsu for a few reasons. Originally, he was attracted to her apparent natural beauty and killer makeup skills. What kept him intrigued, though, was that he never had to try to get someone to like him before. He always got whomever he desired. To finally have someone he had to work for was intriguing to Oikawa. Part of him even wondered if Natsu looked at him in that light at all. He realized that as he was getting to know her, he couldn't help but develop actual feelings towards her, unable to write off his curiosity and admiration as plain old lust. Natsu didn't even give her phone number to Oikawa until after a month of private messaging back and forth on MeToob, and that was after they met at a dinner party and stuck together the whole night.
