If someone had warned Kageyama that he would be in a car next to Kiyoko on the way to a party with no one he knew in attendance besides Shittykawa and Akaashi, supported by Sugawara who was on the phone and connected to his wireless earbuds... Admittedly he would have been disappointed, but not surprised.

"Sugawara, I'm gonna throw up if I see Flattykawa in a tuxedo," the grumpy photographer mumbled to his 'supportive' friend through his EarthTube buds.

"Calm the gay Kageyama, you're going for the Sunset Sounds guy, remember?" Sugawara teased, earning an eye roll that he could probably see through the phone. "You'll be fine, okay? Try your best, find someone you can be around, and do what you need to. I'm right here if you freak out."

Kageyama stared out the window as they arrived at their destination. He could feel the bumping music giving him a headache already. Kageyama's eyes widened as more people than he expected started heading for the venue.

Kiyoko parked the car about a block away, the photographer not moving from his seat. His legs felt hollow, and his throat went dry.

"Kageyama, you're already here so you might as well go in. No one will even notice us, we can greet Natsu and Lana then leave, alright?" Kiyoko was reassuring but firm; she knew Kageyama's limits, when to push them, when to back off, and she knew that in this case, it was time to shove hard.

A burst of courage that came solely from the memory of a certain ginger spurred the photographer into movement. Kageyama unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the car. Kiyoko came around to meet him on his side, locking the car, and walked alongside Kageyama. When they arrived they were asked their names, so Kiyoko took the lead and the two headed inside.

All Kageyama could focus on was finding his orange haired friend - well, acquaintance - but he was nowhere to be seen. There were plenty of guests, but the room dwarfed them all, making it seem like it wasn't a big get-together. Kageyama and his anxiety, however, knew better - this was way out of his comfort zone.

Being too distracted by his focus on Hinata, he hadn't realised he had lost someone else.

Shit... Where did Kiyoko go?

Kageyama could feel himself start to shake; he wanted to call for her, but his jaw was shut tight. It didn't even cross his mind to speak to Sugawara, who was still in his ear. He closed his eyes, trying his best to steady out his breathing - that is until he felt... Comfort?

Kageyama didn't feel the need to know what was going on when he heard the voice of his favourite model friend, the annoying pretty boy showing up behind him and putting a hand on his shoulder. He let out a sigh of relief.

"Tobio~! You made it! I've been looking all over for you."

"Ah, Shittykawa, look at you. You've finally dressed yourself nice enough to not need my photography to make you look good." Despite the harsh words, the photographer was actually flooded with relief. The presence of someone tolerable did wonders for the soul. Not that he'd ever let Oikawa catch on to how much the photographer appreciated him.

Kageyama, too focused on how to insult Oikawa in the best way possible, failed to notice the people starting to gather around the two of them. Natsu was one among the crowd.

"Kageyama! It's so nice to see you! Kiyoko said you would be around!" The younger of the two Hinatas beamed. "Isn't this place awesome?! Come on, I want you to follow me, we're gonna go over there and I'm going to announce you as the photographer and you'll just have to stand beside me and maybe say 'it was an honour working with you' or something like that - for PR reasons. I want everyone to know who you are! Maybe you'll get a whole bunch of new clients!"
