1962, July 23rd, 1:39 am

Jungkook had let Taehyung stay over with him that night, making a spot on the floor for him with blankets and a pillow. Taehyung didn't mind sleeping on the floor, Jungkook didn't have a couch to sleep on after all.

Jungkook laid awake in his bed, curled up as he stared out the window. His mind was full of thoughts, keeping him awake. He was so tired, and needed rest.

He sighed heavily, rolling onto his back to see if it would help, closing his eyes.

He groaned after five minutes of nothing.

"You okay, bunny?" Taehyung's voice spoke up from the floor.

Jungkook jumped, not realising Taehyung was still awake.

"Y-Yeah, I can't sleep." Jungkook whispered.

"I can't either." Taehyung replied quietly. He was laying on his back, hands behind his head as he stared at the ceiling. He could imagine Jungkook in a similar position, just staring off into nothing.

Jungkook bit his lip, not knowing what to say.

"Want me... to come up there with you?" Taehyung asked.

Jungkook's breath hitched, a blush appearing onto his cheeks. "S-Sure."

He heard some shuffling, feeling the covers pull back and Taehyung slipping under them.

He could feel Taehyung's presence practically burning behind him, like a raging inferno.

The entire room was silent except for the waves crashing against the shore outside, and the gentle breeze blowing in past the curtains.

"Jungkook." Taehyung's deep voice drawled, sending a shiver down the surfers spine.

"Y-Yes?" Jungkook asked quietly.

"Do you want me to hold you to help you sleep?" Taehyung asked.

Jungkook bit his lip, blushing even more before slowly nodding. "Yes please." He whispered.

Taehyung slid his arm around Jungkook's thin waist, pulling him closer so his chest was pressed against Jungkook's back.

The surfer was blushing like crazy, but luckily it was dark enough that it couldn't be seen.

"Relax, bunny." Taehyung breathed against his ear, goosebumps rising on Jungkook's skin.

Jungkook shakily nodded and closed his eyes, feeling Taehyung's thumb massaging circles into his side soothingly.

Jungkook let out a deep breath of air he was holding, relaxing as Taehyung held him close in his arms.

"Goodnight." Taehyung murmured, resting his chin on Jungkook's shoulder.

"Goodnight." The younger replied, enjoying the warmth and comfort Taehyung provided, not to mention his alluring scent of woodsy cologne and cigarettes.

They fell asleep together, completely content.

Taehyung woke up first the next morning, Jungkook had flipped over in his sleep and was now pressed into Taehyung's chest, lips parted and a bit of drool forming on his shirt.

Taehyung chuckled softly, reaching down and brushing Jungkook's fringe out of his face, studying his face for a moment. The surfer looked so peaceful as he slept. Parted pouty lips, long eyelashes dusting his cheekbones, the morning sun shining on his dewy skin.

Taehyung sighed and carefully pulled away, sitting up and groaning as he felt a bit dizzy. His mouth was also dry, so he went to Jungkook's kitchen and retrieved a glass of water, filling it up. He set it aside and splashed his face with some cold water to get rid of his drowsiness.
