"Come on, guys! We can win this match!" a young Y/n called out to her teammates as the final set of their last match began. They needed just one more point to win, and then there are straight to the nationals.

"On the count of three!" Y/n exclaimed to her team as they huddled up together. "One, two, three. Go team!" they yelled in unison, raising their arms up in the air as they cheered. Y/n smiles brightly as they did, feeling her teammates energy makes her feel proud and excited.

With a sharp blast of the whistle, the referee signaled the end of the timeout, and the match roared back to life. Y/n slid into position. Her eyes locked on the ball like a hawk zeroing in on its prey. With a deft hand signal, she directed her teammate on the left.

As the ball sailed towards her, Y/n deftly tossed it to her awaiting teammate, who hammered it at the opponents like Thor wielding Mjolnir. The ball ricocheted back from the enemy's defense, zooming towards Y/n's team libero, who snagged it just in the nick of time.

Back in Y/n's hands, the pressure was on. She had a split second to decide: a risky play over the net or set up their spiker for another go. Quick as lightning, she glanced at the net. The opposing team's blockers were glued to the ball like it owed them money.

Thinking fast, Y/n faked a throw, hoping to catch them off guard. But the middle blocker from the other side caught the ball before it hits the ground. The ball then bounces from her hand, giving the opponent their chance to attack back.

"Chance ball!" their enemy yelled, sending the ball flying back to their court, hitting the ground with a thud. The score now stood at 23-24, with Y/n's team in the lead.

"It's not over yet!" their captain encouraged. Y/n nodded along with her teammates. Her eyes fuel with determination. As the game continued, the crowd's cheers grew louder. Both teams are trying to get that one score, and both saving the ball in nick of time before hitting the ground.

Y/n caught the attack from the opposing team, diving across the polished floor to keep the ball in play. A teammate hit it, only for it to be blocked. Y/n and another team member tried to recover it, but it was too far out of reach. The ball hit the ground, tying the score at deuce.

As the timeout was called, the gymnasium buzzed with a mix of tension and anticipation. Y/n grabbed her water bottle, taking a sip while her coach gathered the team around for a quick strategy session. Despite the focus in the huddle, Y/n couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. She glanced around the court, her eyes catching familiar faces in the stands.

There, amidst the sea of supporters, her family sat united. Her dad beamed proudly, his brothers and their mother exuberantly cheering her on. Among her friends, she spotted Kuroo attempting to restrain Bokuto from vaulting over the bleachers in excitement, which almost made her chuckle.
