"It's decided! It's decided!" A man in glasses burst into the gym, a broad smile on his face and a paper in his hand. He bent over, hands on his knees, catching his breath as everyone waited in anticipation for the news. "The practice match. It's against one of the top four teams in the prefecture. Aoba Josai High School."

As he announced the big news, the excitement was palpable. The prospect of a practice match against one of the top four teams in the prefecture, Aoba Josai, took everyone by surprise. It had been a while since they had any connection with other schools for practice matches.

"The one nicknamed Seijo?" Sugawara asked, his voice tinged with surprise.

"Yikes."

"No way."

"A practice match with one of the top four!" Hinata exclaimed, his eyes shining with delight. It was his first opportunity to face one of the top teams, and the excitement was overwhelming. Kageyama, on the other hand, didn't seem thrilled about the news.

"Oh, you two are the controversial Hinata-kun and Kageyama-kun," the man observed, noticing the two new first-year members by the net. Hinata, unfamiliar with the man, turned to Kageyama, who shrugged, indicating he didn't know either.

"I'm the volleyball club advisor starting this year. I'm Takeda Ittetsu," he introduced himself. Both Hinata and Kageyama greeted him with a simple "Hello." Takeda explained that although he didn't know the sport or have any experience, he was determined to do his best to help the team.

"Sensei," Daichi called out to the club advisor, concerned about his breathless state. Takeda explained that he had been running around to arrange the practice match and hadn't had time to rest before announcing the news.

"But, Sensei, how did you get a powerhouse like Seijo to agree?" Sugawara asked.

"You didn't get on your knees and beg again, did you?" Daichi inquired.

"No, no," Takeda replied, waving his hand dismissively. "I'm good at getting on my knees and begging, but I didn't do it this time." A small smile played on his lips as he reassured them, making the two third-years sigh in relief. "But they had a condition."

Everyone leaned in as Takeda explained the condition for the practice match. "Kageyama-kun must play as the setter for the entire game." This made Sugawara tense, and Tanaka immediately questioned why.

Sugawara had been Karasuno's boys' volleyball team setter for two years, ever since he joined. The condition surprised him, as it meant he wouldn't be playing for the entire game, but he felt a strange sense of relief. He doubted his ability to be the best setter now that Kageyama, a genius setter, was on the team.
