"I just don't understand why we have to come to school on Halloween, we don't come to school on others holidays so why this one?!" Bailey expresses her dislike as we walk down the crowded hallway
Bailey is annoyed with all her teachers assigning more homework than usual to her today so she is ranting to us about it.
"Why would we miss school for a holiday that is glorified for scaring people and handing them candy?" Faith questions with an eye roll
As much as I hate to say this, I agree with Faith.
"Sorry, B, I agree with Faith on this one" I tell the brunette
"And I agree with my beautiful girlfriend" Aurelia says leaning down to place a kiss on my cheek
"Plus we wouldn't have anything to do during the day anyway" I add on as the four of us walk into the cafeteria
Aurelia's phone goes off causing her to briefly glance down at it before sighing.
"I have to take this, I'll meet you guys at our table" she tells us
She quickly lets go of my hand before answering her cellphone with annoyance clear in her tone of voice.
"Who was that?" Bailey asks referring to the person who called my girlfriend
"I don't know, I don't care" I reply with a hand wave as my eyes land on a cheeseburger
My mouth instantly waters as my hand reaches out and snatches the aesthetically pleasing burger.
We are halfway away from the register when Faith squeals and begins to violently rub her eye making me furrow my brows at her.
What the hell?
"Are you okay?" I carefully ask her
She continues to rub her eye as she answers.
"No, an eyelash fell in my eye and I can't get it out" she grunts out with annoyance
Ugh.
I hate when that happens.
"Go to the bathroom and rinse your eye with water, I'll bring your food to the table" I tell her
She removes her hand from her eye to look at me only to squeal again and continue to rub her quickly reddening eye.
"Thanks, Hanna, I'll buy you a cookie" she promises before jogging away
"You better" I mutter more so to myself
Bailey and I quickly make our way through the line, ordering our food and walking towards our lunch table.
Once we are seated we immediately begin to dig into our food, too hungry to wait for the rest our friends.
"Hey, have you guys seen Aurelia?" Chadley asks as he takes a seat beside Bailey
"She took a call a few minutes ago, why?" I reply in between bites of my burger
Fuck.
This is such a good burger!
Our school has never made burgers that taste this good before.
"I need to give her this letter, it's from Ava" he says effectively knocking me out of my daydream
