"So, this is the common room." The blonde 5th year student stood in her green robes, proudly showing off the prefect badge hanging over her shoulder.
"Here y'all can do your homework or just chill n' stuff. Girls' dormitories are down the stairs and then right. Boys' same to the left." A considerably less excited 5th year boy said to the group of scared first years. He wore the prefect badge over his green robes as well, but unlike the girl, he looked like he'd much rather be somewhere else.
The prefect boy gave away a heavy sigh, before continuing as the group of small children, to his annoyance, kept staring at him.
"Now, I don't want to stand here all night. Off you go!"
The young students hurried away, dark furnitures and a green, glowing fire in the fireplace, before reaching the cold stairs.
Vega was the last person to reach her new dormitory. The black painted wooden door was closed, so she chose to carefully knock on it.
A few seconds later the door swung up and Vega now stood face to face with a short, pale girl. Her dark hair was cut short and bangs covered most of her forehead.
"So you're Vega Black" the girl asked, which Vega responded with a nod, though he wasn't sure if it was a question. The girl leaned against the door frame and clicked her tongue.
"I'm guessing you're a pure, then?". Vega looked confused back at the girl.
"Sorry?" she asked her roommate.
"You're a pure right? Pure-blood." she said and Vega slowly nodded in response.
"Good, no mudz here. We're all good here girls!" She said the last part loud so her other two roommates, who sat on their beds, could hear her. "I'm Pansy Parkinson by the way"
She lazily stretched out her left hand for Vega to shake. Vega had a quick inner conflict before taking Pansy's hand in her left hand as well. Pansy then walked back to her bed and continued to unpack.
The dormitory was as dark like the common room. It was swallowed by shades of green and black and a shining silver snake was embroiled in the curtain fabric, hanging around the four posters. There was a window on the other side of the room, but since the slytherin dungeon was situated in the deepest part of the school, the window looked out into the depth of the Hogwarts lake.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Your bed's over there" Pansy said and pointed at a non occupied bed in the left corner of the room. Vega closed the door behind her and walked towards her bed. She sat down on her green bed sheets and looked awkwardly around her.
"Millicent! Daphne!" Pansy said firmly and looked at one of Vega's other two room mates.
"What?" the girls both answered in union and turned away from their half unpacked trunks.
"Are you capable of introducing yourselves of am I supposed to that as well?"
"Chill out Pans." The girl had blonde, long hair put up in a high ponytail on her head. She turned to Vega. "Sorry about her, I'm Daphne Greengrass".
"I'm Millicent Bulstrode". The other girl in the bed next to hers said. She was a tall girl, almost twice the size of Vega, and her brown thick curls almost reminded Vega of her own black ones.
"I'm-" I was cut off.
"Vega Black, we know" Pansy Parkinson cut her off.

An hour had passed since Vega's first meeting with her roommates, but she didn't feel like she was getting any closer to them. They had started a conversation about school, but the topic was quickly changed to boys instead, and as Vega unpacked her things she overheard the name Draco Malfoy. Vega picked up a book about dark arts that her mother had given her and quickly changed her clothes to pajamas, before creeping in under the sheets with her nose in the book.
