First, we pronounce '20' as 'twenty' right? '30' as 'thirty' and so on... So for clarification in 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29... For example, '28' we used to call it 'Twentyeight' right? We red the first one which is '2' (2two-0twenty) and then the last '8' (eight). But in German is different, '28' (achtundzwanzig) 'acht' is '8' (eight) ... 'Und' is 'and' (for combination)... '2' is 'zwanzig' (twenty). They red the last number in the right going to the left. Complicated, right? Read it and repeat, take a deeper understanding in each once, tens and hundreds to thousand. Just keep it in mind.Clarification:
14 vierzehn
40 vierzig18 achtzehn
80 achtzigDid you see the difference?
Hundred = hundert
Thousand = tausendEx.
100 = einhundert (one hundred)
200 = zweihundert (two hundred)
...
1000 = eintausend (one thousand)
2000 = zweitausend (two thousand)
...
2001 = zweitausendeins
2002 = zweitausendzwei
And so on...Gets???
