Well, today was the first day of the year, obviously. I spent it in Florida with my friend Becca, my family, and some family friends. We started off the new year by listening to Cosmopolitanie by Soprano to get in the party mood, and also to entertain the rest of the guests at our resort. I was pretty sure most of them thought we spoke English, but a few of them, like the French guests two floors above us, thought we spoke French. It was quite an experience.
Most of the family fell asleep at 1:00. I know, real partiers, right? No.
When we woke up that morning, we got dressed, ate breakfast, and went downstairs to spend our last day at the resort in style. We played volleyball, went swimming, and played even more rounds of bingo. I am so sick of bingo. Becca and I really just sat and people watched, as in hot-guy-watched. This year was a record year for hot guys checking into the resort, but it seemed to also be a record year for underaged couples checking into the resort. I saw at least three couples together that were definitely under the age of thirteen. I know I'm not any of them, but I personally would never want to bring a boyfriend with me on a trip to Florida. What happens if you break up? You can never go there because of all the painful memories of how happy you both were.
Off track, Kyra.
At dinner, we played a ton of rounds of Rummikub. If you don't know what that is, good, because playing this game will give you nightmares. It is so stressful.
The day was fun, and I thought it was a great way to spend time.
But we're leaving tomorrow, and I really don't want to go back to the cold climate that is my home.
I guess that's all for today. I thought I would try out this journal thing, and I'm trying to get it done for every day of this year. But I really don't think that will happen.
See you tomorrow.
