Sierra whistled as she walked down the stairs, until she saw that Maddy's head was constantly getting rubbed.
"She's on the brink of shifting. That's the only explanation. Sore gums, back of her hands, head, feet. Lack of focus, it can only be that." Sierra says and he looks at her, and then suddenly, a fire, it broke out in the pan and Sierra ran.
She crouched behind the sofa, her eyes blazing blue as then Mr. Smith had managed to put the wet cloth on over the fire to put it out.
"Maybe you would be safer, at school with Sierra and Rhydian watching out for you." Mrs. Smith murmured as she looked at Maddy, who looked at Sierra who was still half panicked.
They were at school now and Maddy was sittin' between Rhydian and then Sierra, who was chuckling quietly.
"How am I supposed to chill out? I have got a week of exams, Tom's on me back, and me whole body feels like it's going to explode." Maddy whispered and then suddenly Mr. Jeffries called her name.
"Maddy!" Mr. Jeffries calls out.
"What!" She shouted and Sierra bites her lip hard to keep from laughing as she looked down at her desk, shaking from laughter. "Sorry, sir." Maddy said quietly, as Mr. Jeffries continues as normal with the names.
"Hot flashes." Maddy nodded.
"Shooting pains." Maddy winced as she nodded.
"Mouth like a Swiss army knife." He whispered. "Oh, my. This should be a lot of fun." He whispered sarcastically and she looked at him.
"Shut up." She hissed to him and Sierra shakes her head, but he wasn't listening and neither was she.
"Ow!" Rhydian said slightly louder as Maddy had kicked him, as Mr. Jeffries caught him this time, as then Rhydian winced.
"Keep it down, please, Rhydian. Right you lot here. As you know, this week's exams will start with Maths." Jeffries' stated. "Immediately after the dinner bell. Tomorrow, we will be having our English after first break." He said and Sierra reaches out to grab Maddy's hand, moving it away from her jaw.
"Here's hoping those past participles will trip off of your pens." Jeffries let a snort escape as he dismissed them all.
"Six more days and seven hours all of the exams, of this, I don't think I can stand it." Maddy says to Rhydian and Sierra.
"Well I was veining up just thinking about Math." Sierra offers and Maddy growled at her.
"Do you want to know what helps? It helped me." Rhydian said and Sierra's brightened up as she recognized their mischievous tone of voice.
"Tell me." Maddy practically begged him to tell her, as they waited for the lunch line to move.
They were racing through the woods together full of laughter and cheer for the freedom, as Sierra once again, had beaten them both quickly to the trees.
"Better?" Rhydian asked them both and Sierra let out a loud howl without thinking and Maddy grins at them.
"Better." She said with a sigh.
Then suddenly Maddy was freaking out because not only did they all have a math exam, she had also forgotten about her plans to revise with Tom.
"Oh, yeah. I'll catch you up." Rhydian calls after her as he fell back down in the dirt, looking annoyed about Math, and the exam in general.
"I'm not moving. I hate Math." Sierra said stubbornly, as he tried to get her down from the tree that she was in.
"Come on Si, we have to go back to help Maddy." Rhydian insists to her and Sierra groaned as she reluctantly dropped down from the tree.
"I don't want to shift in front of everyone over some stupid Math exam." She growls under her breath and he looked at her.
"You won't. But Maddy might, so we need to be there to watch over her. I know that you're nervous, but, she is completely terrified." He said and she sighed.
"Let's just go, before I lose it." Sierra growls and they walked into the class quickly and Sierra sat down with thud and everyone laughed.
Then Maddy had begun to shift in the middle of the exam and Sierra did not appear to be far behind, so Rhydian in his infinite wisdom, pulled the firebell to stop the exam.
Rhydian was going to see the headmaster, while Sierra was sitting with Maddy.
After school, there was a fire in the lab and Tom had somehow gotten the trio of Shannon, Maddy and Sierra out of the fire on his own.
"Are you all right?" Maddy whispers quietly to Sierra, who was wincing at the fits of coughing that now, it kept, overtaking her.
"Are you?" She whispers and Maddy nods, as they both leaned back against the lockers.
The next day, Tom had revealed that Shannon's new theories, were that the pair of them were werewolves, and it was only after he left, that Sierra let her eyes briefly glow.
