Chapter 17

Hi guys long time no see. So sorry for the very long wait. About 10 month or something. But I hope to have enough time to post more. Check out my other book, but it's not really long. That's all I got to say so enjoy!

Jack's POV

I hopped in the portal after Artemis and found myself in the warren meeting Bunny. He agreed that we could come and we entered one tunnel. We came out and found a city. Bunny sniffed the air and pointed at one direction. "He's there." He said and before he could move, Artemis dashed to where he was. Bunny and I looked at each other and I shrugged. "What do you expect?" I asked him as I flew off to find Percy. He grunted in response and followed me.

After an hour of searching, we found a boy on a roof, surveying the city. We approached him from behind but he could sense us. He turned around, Riptide in his hand. "Who are you?" He asked threateningly, raising his sword. "I am Jack Frost, this is Bunny and Artemis. I need you to come with us." I said. He clutched his head when I said 'Artemis' but shook it off. "And why should I?" He asked again. I sighed. "I didn't want to do this but..." I said as I shot a beam of ice at him. He quickly evaded the shot and charged at me.

I shook my head and guilt rushed through me. I slammed my staff on the ground and jumped forward, using my staff to support my weight, I kicked him in the face and heard a sickening crack. He stumbled back but regained his balance. We fought for minutes until I used my flat side of the staff to whack his gut and grabbed his head and slammed it into a wall with the curved side. I picked his unconscious body and threw a portal to North's new workshop. We put him in an empty bedroom and waited for him to wake up.

After an hour, I heard a groan and saw Percy waking up. "What happened? This isn't Elysium. Where am... Jack! Why are you here? Are you dead? Please don't tell me your dead. Are you?" He exclaimed. I pulled him into a hug and smiled. "Glad you're back." I said as I pulled back. He grinned.

"Now I can call Artemis to kill you!"

His face morphed into horror. "Hey Arty! There's something you need to see!" I called her and she instantly rushed up. "What is it?" I pointed to Perce and stood up. "I'm gonna give you some privacy for now." I said as I closed the door. Once I closed it, I only heard a nervous 'Hey Arty' and many slap noises and screams.

The door opened and Artemis stormed out of the room. I looked back and found Percy with many bruises and slap marks. "Not cool, man." He muttered. Huh. Suddenly, I heard Artemis calling me. "Yeah?" I asked. "Zoe's in trouble. I heard her prayer but it was very blurry. She's in Alaska." I nodded and she flashed us there.

We marched non-stop. Throughout the day, we kept walking while I shielded them from the cold and filled Percy in on what happened in the past 10 years. After long hours of walking, we approached a castle. There were quite a few old castle in Alaska but this one had a weird aura around it. "She's in there. I know she is." Artemis muttered right next to me.

"Well what are we waiting for." Percy said, standing up with his pen in his hand. "I'm gonna kill them all. Every last one of them." He walked up to the castle as I continually whispered his name for him to come back and make a plan but to no avail. I looked at Artemis and sighed as we ran up to him. There were two monsters guarding the gate of the castle, well to be honest, I don't care. But Percy apparently, walked up to them.

"No Percy, stop. Hold up. No don't. Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait." I whisper to him hurriedly and grabbed his shoulder but he shrugged it off and decapitated them both. "Aww come on Percy. Seriously?" I complain. "You owe me two monsters."

Percy turned around and looked at me. "I said I'm gonna kill them all." He growled at me. I sighed and followed him. Literally. I could not kill a single monster because Percy would kill them before I can touch them. We reached the right wing of the tower until we heard a roar of fire. We turned around the corner and Percy yelled out. "Stop!" The trio stopped and turned around and there Zoe was, in all her glory.

Well there wasn't much glory in your face after escaping a cell but you get the idea. I mean seriously, it's not like the metaphors in the plot makes sense. I mean the writer's not even in high school for gods' sake.

Anyway, Artemis looked at them and said, "Zoe." She looked back at the two boys by her side and glared at them, "Let her go." Zoe rushed forward and spread out her arms. "Stop, they are my friends. You want them you have to go through me." She growled

I chuckled and called out to them, "How many times do I have to tell you. Be respectful to your elders."

Sudden realisation crossed her face "Mom, Jack." She said. She looked at Percy for a while before she walked up to him. "Dad." She whispered. Percy smiled  walked up to her. "Hello Zoe. It's nice to finally meet you." He said, smiling warmly at her.

And where did that get him you ask? A slap across the face. "Nice to meet me, my ass!" She screamed at him. "You left for ten bloody years and you have the fucking audacity of showing up and saying it's nice to see me?" She then proceeded to knee him in the balls. "Why did you even leave?" She cried, tears flowing down her cheeks. "Mom had to put up with your bullshit raising me on her own, and you don't even bother to check in."

"She never told you why I left, didn't she?" Percy interrupted her before she could rant on. Jeez, family reunions can be a pain. "I died, that's it. I died for my family, and my friends. That's my stupid excuse you've been waiting for. I'm not asking you to forgive me or anything..."

"Hey, sorry to break this reunion but can we take this outside because THERE ARE HORDES OF MONSTERS TRYING TO KILL US HERE." One of the boys with an axe screamed. That's it, I like that kid. We ran across the castle finding a way out. I caught up with Zoe and asked. "So, who's the axe kid."

"He's Shane." She replied. "Uh huh, and who's the boyfriend." I said with a smirk on my face.

"What are you talking about." She said, turning away from me.

"I'm not stupid you know."

"Shut up. And if you tell mom, I'll kill you." She said running up to Artemis and Percy's side.

"But what's his name?"

"The name's Damien." 'Damien' said next to me.

We continued talking until we abruptly stopped as monsters from both sides closed in on us. I put my hands behind my back and shook a globe, thinking of camp. Just as they charged, I screamed and smashed the globe on the floor. "SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKERS!!!"

A portal opened up beneath the floor and they fell through it, all screaming in different pitch, Percy screaming the loudest and highest. We landed in the woods and trees.

"Wait something's not right." Artemis said standing up. We stood up after her and rushed to camp. We stopped at the border and saw the worst thing possible. Camp half-blood on fire.
