Lily Evans hadn't exactly spoken to or really acknowledged her new neighbor. To be clear he wasn't exactly a new neighbor anymore, he had moved in six months ago. It wasn't that Lily Evans wasn't a friendly person because she was, she was just incredibly busy doing something at all times. Her roommate Alice Prewitt was going to kill her for it too. Lily was a history major and was planning to become a history professor at a college sometime in the future. She minored in teaching and education. Uni wasn't a big struggle for Lily though she did have her moments. She had moments quite a bit.

Lily moments were spontaneous and uncalled for but they happened. Her most recent one was when she was at the grocery store the other day on a hunt for olives and chocolate milk. Odd combination but, she wanted olives and Alice wanted some chocolate milk. Anyone who knew Lily knew she loved olives. Olives were just something Lily enjoyed, she liked the odd taste it satisfied her. She would get a tall jar of olives and snack on them randomly throughout the day when she was stressed. They seemed to be an excellent stress reliever for her. She swore on them. Unfortunately for the person who was trying to grab the last tall jar of olives, Lily had aggressively grabbed them first, dancing around happily as she held them in her hands. That same jar of olives sat in her fridge unopened.

James Potter didn't want to talk about it. Sirius Black his roommate, was going to drive him over the edge. Maybe it was partly James' fault for even telling his best mate about the hot redhead that he shared a bedroom wall with. Though James was a naturally confident and hyper person he got unusually nervous around the redhead. He didn't even know her fricking name for God's sake. He wasn't around her that much either. They always had a thin wall between them. Thin enough for him to hear her struggling with some homework right now. James blessed the heavens he was an art major.

"Just talked to her." Sirius had edged him on and James almost had talked to her before thinking better of it. Right now James sat in the living space watching some TV trying to get his creative juices flowing for his art project due in a week. He hadn't started it at all, all he'd done was stare at the blank canvas. It was going to stay blank until he found something to paint on it. It was a five inch by five inch canvas and James didn't have a clue what to paint on it.

Lily was starting to get extremely stressed with her math homework for her calculus class. It wasn't like Lily to cry over being stressed but she could feel the tears burning in the back of her eyes. She got up to get her stress reliever, olives. As she grabbed the tall jar of olives she could hear her neighbor turn up the TV in his flat. She didn't like the noise of mindless banter coming through her ears especially when she was doing math homework.

She put the olives on the counter getting ready to open the seal tight jar. Lily tried to open it but failed.

She tried again and failed.

And again.

And again.

And again.

Thirty minutes later she was sitting on the floor banging the top of the olive jar with a wooden spoon. She had given up five minutes ago. Lily tried using a screwdriver, hammer, paint opener, a pencil, multiple pens, and a wine glass that she broke when she tried using it to open her jar of olives. She was pissed. While still sitting on the floor she reached up to put the jar of olives back on the counter but she let go too soon and it fell. Glass shards went everywhere and she screamed in pain when one got stuck in her right cheek.
