You woke the next day to a still sleeping Leon on your bed. He looked caring and young just like you. He had strong features but still this aura of an innocent guy who just wanted to sleep for once. Getting up and getting ready for the day you didn't mind changing since he still slept soundly. Leaving you started your daily routine.

Leon's POV

I woke up in a strange place in strange clothes. Sitting up quickly I felt a sharp pain attack my right shoulder. "Oh right the bullet" taking off the shirt I found the wound stitched and bandaged. I cautiously rise from the bed finding my bag next to the head board. Reachin in I found my Matilda and chose to keep it by my side. I held it firmly in my right hand hoping I wouldn't have to use it. Lowering my gun I heard a sound was that music? "Music is not a good idea." I rushed to the noise to hopefully detern unwanted guests. Following the sound of the music through a mysterious environment I found a real human being.

End P.O.V

"I left Leon to sleep. He looks like he definitely needs it." You thought to yourself but you couldn't help but want to check on him. You tried to push it out of your mind as you focused on your task. Setting up a cassette player you filed in a mixtape of your own. Everything Falls Apart by Dog's Eye View plays loud and clear giving you a fun bubbly feel. Moving a bit to the music you continue building up the fence and working the garden. "Don't look now.....things just gotten worse. I'm drunk again and I swear" you sang and swayed to a favorite song. You went over to feed the chickens until you heard the distinct sound of your back sliding door fly open. You turned and stood quick to look and see Leon staring in your direction. You placed a hand over your chest signaling he scared you half to death.

Leon's POV
I heard singing coming from the back of the house. It was actually really pretty. I ran out to find a girl a little younger than me tending to her garden. A sight I haven't seen in nearly a year of wandering. She quickly stood and looked up, her (H/L) (H/C) (H/T) hair flying into her round face. She was quite beautiful. I couldn't help but stare. I shook myself from my thoughts to stop the music before something was heard.
End of POV

"Oh! You're awake, good." You approach the tall male as he quickly jogs past you. "Your name is Leon Right? I saw it on your name tag." You state a bit directly. He runs over and shuts off the music. "Hey! What do you think you're doing!" You yelled as he slumped over in relief from the quiet. "The music that gives away our position." You looked at him a bit confused but then remembered the situation. "Listen" you walk over to turn the music back on. "You really don't have to worry about it around here." He looked at you with wide eyes praying about what you were going to say next. "I cleaned out this place of those things a long time ago. You don't have to worry about anything wanting to have its meal to the music." The biggest smile took over his previous demeanor. "Amazing, I didn't think there would ever be a chance to live a normal life!" He said excitedly "You obviously got mine but ?". You look a little embarrassed for not introducing yourself. "Oh shit I didn't even introduce myself sorry I'm (Y/N) (M/I) (L/N) how is your shoulder I tried to patch you up there" He looked at you with appreciative eyes. "It's really great actually I was surprised, not much kindness left out here". Looking back to tend your garden you try not to blush a little." Hey don't worry about it really you are still a human being after all. You can stay if you like, it has been a while since I had a real person over." You continue working while talking, picking tomatoes and cutting dead leaves. "Um thank you I appreciate it. Is it just you then?". You stare a little with sad eyes trying to push down the lump in your throat. "Uh yes there were casualties here as there is everywhere" you turn to look away hiding the pain of your losses. Throwing a small smile back on your face you turn to him. "Come inside you must be starving after how long you have been out!". He looks at you surprised you are willing to give out supplies. "I have food in my pack, don't worry about me." You look at him a bit confused since you just offered.
"Oh don't be so humble, what do you prefer?" Walking inside through the porch door you come to your old kitchen. You walk over to a small radio in the corner counter and press play. He looks at you a bit confused but brushes it off. "Losing My Religion" by R.E.M. quietly played from the little stereo.  "I get a choice?". He looks as if you lost your mind. "Of course! I have a little of everything" you open the pantry door to reveal all types of food stacked back to back up to the ceiling. "Holy shit I have never seen so much food in one place." He looked like a kid in a candy store. "My garden and the chicken coop is outback too if you are looking for something a bit more fresh." He looked at you happy at the finally welcoming face. "wow this is amazing I am extremely impressed." You look around remembering the hardship it took to get all this. "Well I wouldn't be as well off if it wasn't for the neighbors sacrifices." He squeezes your shoulder knowing you share the pain of loss. You look up as he looks into you sparkling (E/C) eyes, blushing slightly. "I understand and I am sorry but sorry can only go so far" You tense up a bit remembering the gruesome pictures that stained you. "It's been hard being alone for so long. Hopefully this will make it easier. That is if you decide to stay." As you sit in comfortable silence for a little while longer you hear your watch beep. "Oh I have to go, I will be back in an hour or so. Help yourself just don't go crazy" He lets out a small chuckle as you give him a wink and exit holding the little radio close. Every day at 2pm you went to spend time with your family. Walking to the end of the subdivision you came upon the lot. taking the trail you made in the center you started to walk. walking for a bit you finally came across your family. "Hi everyone, you wouldn't guess what happened today." You sat down on a rock close to the graves. "I met someone, like a real person. He was hurt so I took him in and fixed him up. I know it was risky but I was desperate for someone, a little human contact. It's been almost a year since I have been on my own. I hope you are all together wherever you are right now. I know you are looking out for me" You stood and gave each grave a small kiss from largest to smallest. "Thank you for listening, I miss our conversations."
