Your POV

" Time to get up!" I hear my roommate yell. I groan rolling over, looking at my clock that's on the bedside table. It reads 5:43 AM. The sun isn't even out yet.
" if you don't want to be late you should get up now. You do know that it takes at least thirty minutes to get to the station~" my roommate, Catherine, sings as she makes her way into the kitchen. Our apartment isn't big, two bed rooms, living room, kitchen and a bathroom. I groan as I sit up in bed, fixing my shirt, before rubbing my eyes. I stand up, making my way down the hall towards the bathroom, taking short steps as I was still waking up.
Catherine's always been a ball of energy. We've known each other since grade school. We went through training camp together, which leads to now. We're both in the police force, but with everything going on right now, global pandemic, things have been hectic. I shut the water off, before grabbing the near by towel to dry my face off. Today would be hectic, I didn't need to go into the station to know that. But waking up earlier than I normally did seemed to make everything thar much harder to deal with. I walked back to my room to get dressed and put my uniform on.
One thing was definitely true though. Mornings suck.
