ONWARDS WITH THE CHAPTER
Authors POV
" hey someone's texting you y/n.." Sam said, handing Y/n her phone, pulling her from her thoughts.
" oh who?" Y/n asked, looking down at the screen to see she was already in the messages app. " I don't know, I didn't really look at the name much." Sam said, pulling out his phone.
On the screen read y/N's ex. " Ugh, great." Y/n said, flinging her phone to the side. Sam looked up confused. " what's wrong?" He asked, curiosity getting the better of him. " My ex." Y/n responded. " he texted me." Y/n said.
Sam sat up, moving to sit next to y/n. " what he say?" Sam asked. Y/n handed him the phone before rubbing her face. " he's been texting me non stop these past few months." Y/n said. Sam looked down at the texts. As he was reading, more came in.
Andrew *-*: " Y/n, where are you? I came back to the apartment and your not home.
Andrew*-* " don't get mad at me. I didn't mean anything I did or said. Come on you can't still be mad at me."
Andrew*-* " Why aren't you answering? Oh let me guess, you with some other guy. "
Andrew*-* " You know what fine you whore be with that other guy. Hope you never walk again."
Sam laughed before handing the phone to y/n and standing up. " that guy has issues." Sam said, before walking over to the closet. " seriously. He's been doing this for months after I broke up with him." Y/n said with a laugh.
" what he do?" Sam asked, coming back to the bed with a sweatshirt. " he got drunk, cheated, then actually tried to hit me for trying to leave." Y/n said, looking down at the phone. " I've blocked him several times but he still manages to change his number and try to text me again." Y/n said.
Sam stopped. " wait, is he that guy that came in to the station one time that you argued with outside for like thirty minutes?" Sam asked. Y/n laughed and nodded. " yeah that's him." She said with a small smile on her face. " he's weird." She said as Sam sat back down next to her. He handed her the sweat shirt. " I have a plan." Sam said. Y/n raised her brow, before taking the sweatshirt and putting it on.
Sam felt a blush creep onto his face seeing her in it. She was so small and the sweater was so large on her, it made her look even smaller. Sam swallowed before he looked down.
Y/n felt nervous, the sweater was large and hung loosely around her arms. She pulled the top of the sweater up so it came to her nose, smelling it. She softly inhaled the scent, mentally noting that it smelled like Sam, much to her liking. Sam stood up, turning on the TV and shutting off the lights. As Sam walked back he pointed to Y/N's phone. " now, just take a picture and then just respond that you've moved on." Sam said, sitting next to y/n, pulling her close to him so that she was cuddling into his chest.
As much as Sam knew this was a really big step for them, he tried his best to keep his emotions on how he truly felt hidden.
Y/N's face was fuming, the blush spreading to her neck and the tips of her ears. She leaned into him slightly, before turning the camera on to take a picture.
As the flash went off, capturing the picture, y/n didn't take the time to look at it, quickly sending it to Andrew. However y/n nor Sam moved from the position. Instead, the two sat there watching the movie that was currently on TV. Y/n felt her eye lids growing heavy, yawning while nuzzling her head into Sam's chest.
The butterflies in her stomach making her happiness grow much more than she would have liked. But, regardless, her heart and mind agreed on something. She didn't want this to end.
She silently hoped, this wouldn't be the last time they were in a position like this.
As y/n fell asleep, Sam relaxed against the pillows on the bed. He began to play with her hair, relaxing with a sleeping y/n.
Sam could get used to this. Laying with her after a long day of work. He felt his heart almost explode with happiness from the thought. He glanced down at her, and saw how she was curled up in a small ball, her phone discarded to the side. Sam watched as multiple texts were popping up on her phone.
Sam would be lying if he said it didn't bother him. Not just the constant ringing of the bell from her phone, but the thought of her being with someone else. Someone who even thought of putting a hand on her let alone hurting her in any way. It irked him, all he wanted to do was find this Andrew guy she was talking about and get rid of him and call him crazy but, he was a love sick type of crazy. He was okay with that.
He looked down at the small girl in his arms, knowing he would go to the ends of the world for her. Break himself all over again just to keep her happy. His mind began to wonder.
How would she react if he told her he wasn't human? Would she get mad? Would she leave? Tell everyone about it? He wasn't sure. She seemed to be full of surprises and he hoped that if she ever did find out she would be at least some sort of understanding.
He could only wonder..
