Y/n complied, shutting her eyes. She felt his lips graze over hers, not a kiss, but if she moved even an inch, they'd kiss. It was all perfect until..

Present: Authors POV

A loud gunshot could be heard throughout the carnival. Sam and Y/n immediately jumped away from each other, looking down frantically.

" What the hell is going on down there." Y/n said, worry clear in her tone. She reached down and pulled her gun from underneath her waist band. " We can climb out, but we need to check everyone else first." Y/n said, looking back to Sam to see him breaking open the cart door.

" I'll check the people, you try to get to the bottom of the Ferris wheel. " Sam said, while Y/n nodded. Sam slowly stepped down onto a pole, while people began to scream in fear. From his angle he saw a few guys in a circle each with guns. "You think they'd give us a break." Sam mumbled before slowly turning around the help Y/n down, holding her hand and steadying her, helping her stand next to him.

" Okay, they're in the center of the carnival though I doubt who Evers in charge of them is here." Y/n said, eyes searching the ground. " He's most likely somewhere where he can see everything. " y/n said.

Sam thought for a second. Where? Then it dawned on him. The Ferris wheel. Sam looked up and right on time, he saw a man pointing a gun down at them.

Quickly, Sam pulled y/n by her wrist, holding her while he jumped down again. " What the hell?" Y/n asked. Sam looked up and pointed. " that guy, he tried shooting you." Sam said. Y/n nodded before swinging herself onto another pole and landing on top of a cart.

" I'll try to get these people out. Think you can handle him?" Y/n asked. Sam nodded before reaching upwards to grab the pole up top.

Then a memory accrued.

•flashback•

" Sam, eventually you'll have to tell her." Damien said, staring at Sam with pity eyes. " I know, but not now. Just a little while longer, than I'll tell her." Sam said, shuffling in his seat.

" Still, you can't keep leading her on like this. Yes her energy may be given to you willingly, if she even knows she's doing it, but you can't do this to her." James said, pushing his glasses up his nose a bit.

" When are you going to stop using Jenna for energy?" Matthew asked, curious. " When I finally decide to tell Y/n how I feel I guess." Sam said.

" That'll be harder than you think. Besides, I doubt Y/n is gonna know about this." Erick said, fiddling with the pen in his hand. Sam looked down, his thoughts all over the place. His feelings for Jenna were neutral and her older sister, Carrie, knew this. But because she was a 'witch in training', as Carrie likes to say, her energy was stronger making it a little easier and better for Sam to take. Surprisingly, Jenna didn't figure out Sam was an incubus. But Carrie did. It didn't take her long too either.

" Whatever you do, don't get killed. Jenna can't control her spells yet. So be careful." Carrie said before giving me a hard shove.

"Don't get killed."

" Don't get killed..."

* End of flashback *

As Sam continued to climb up to the man in the cart who at the moment was frantically looking around trying to escape, Sam's mind could only drift to Y/n. What if this was it for him?

Pft, He's Sam. What's the worse that could happen? Sam reached the man's cart, harshly kicking the door causing the man to stumble back. Sam Steps inside, his hand holding the top of the cart. He looks at the man and sudden realization hits him. William. The guy they were looking for.

For a moment, fear flashes in Williams eyes before he lunges to Sam. Sam quickly moves out of the way, before he falls against the wall of the cart. He looked around, and the sudden feeling of rocking sets in. The Ferris wheel is moving.

Sam looks down for a second and see's Y/n with her phone in hand, hitting the controls of the Ferris wheel. Sam looks back up to see William near the door of the cart, looking as if he's about to jump out. The cart shakes violently as Sam grips his collar, pulling him back and pinning him down. He reaches for the hand cuffs, arresting him. It isn't long before the sirens blaring ring in Sam's ears. It's then he realized Y/n or one of the other citizens had called 911. The cart is settled near the ground. Everyone is either in ambulances or cop cars. Some are being interviewed by news stations, other by the police.

Sam walks William over to another cop before feeling his phone vibrate. " Hello?" Sam said, waiting for a response. " Sam?" He heard. It was Jenna, and by the sound of it, she seemed to be crying. " Are you okay?" She asked, a small sob breaking through. Sam huffed, leaning his back against a nearby wall. " I'm fine Jenna." Sam said, annoyed. She always did this.

Get mad at him, then call him if something ever happened. Did news really travel that fast? " Oh, o-okay then. Um, are you hurt or anything?" She asked, fear genuine in her voice. " I said I was fine Jenna. Nothing happened." Sam said, before removing the phone from his ear and hanging up.

He wasn't dealing with her right now. He pushed himself off the wall, walking around and checking on everyone and explaining why the hell he jumped out of his cart.

" Sam!" He heard someone yell. He looked around, confused. Who just? His eyes land on Y/n running from across the parking lot of the carnival too him. He could even see her eyes watering and a tear slipping down her check.

She immediately hugged him, almost knocking all the air out of his lungs. He could feel her silently crying while speaking. " I thought something happened to you." She said, her arms wrapped tightly around him.

He smiled a bit, before wrapping his arms around her smaller frame and resting his head on top of her's before saying..

A/N: Hi lovelies! I posted two chapters in one day... I feel productive enough to give up tomorrow. Just kidding I cant do that. Anyways(!), if you haven't already please read the last A/N in the last chapter! It'll give you a bit of a background about what I'm about to talk about.

My birthdays coming up in about 20 days which comes faster than you think. I've been trying to finish as many things as I can, and with that being said, I might cut this book short....
