10 months of training and normal school later the exams were finally here. Zin felt ready and was super excited. She took the morning to rest well so she had a clear mind going into the exam, but as she got up to see Izuku on the other side of the room, his bed was empty. She tried texting him but he wasn't answering. She didn't want to miss the test so she set out to the school just hoping her brother would be on time. Zin stood at the front entrance looking at her phone worried for Izuko.
"Zuiko," she heard Kacchan say. She looked up to see him walking past her.
"You ready?" Zin asked following him in the building.
"Are you?" He shot back not really mad but curious. Zin nodded her head as they got their papers and sat in a large auditorium. A screen was glowing th UA symbol as Present Mic the exam monirater stood at the stage.
"What's up UA candidates, thanks for tuning in to me, your school DJ. Come on and let me hear ya!!" The entire crowd was silent. "Keeping it mello huh? That's fine I'll skip straight to the main show. Let's talk about how this practical exam is gonna go down okay? Are you ready?!" The crowd still didn't make a sound. Zin sat next to her brother who was geeking out about Present Mic.
"Will you shut up," Kacchan said as Izuko kept on mumbling about the pro hero.
"Like your application said, today you rocking boys and girls will be out there conducting two competitive mock battles in suburban city settings! After I drop the mic here you will go to your specified centers, sound good?" Everyone was quiet as they looked at their small sheets. "Okay?!"
"I see, they're splitting us up so we can't work with any of our friends," Kacchan said, looking at the Midoriya's papers. Izuko had the letter B, while Zin had C, and Kacchan had A.
"Hey, you're right, our exam numbers are one after another, but we're assigned to different battle centers," Izuko said as he looked between the three cards.
"Get your eyes off my card," Kacchan growled as Izuko flinched back. "Damn, I was really looking forward to crushing you."
"Now you just gotta crush our score," Zin commented with a smirk.
"Okay, okay, let's check out your targets, there are three types of foe villains in every battle center. You'll earn points based on level of difficulty so better choose wisely. Your goal in this trial is to use your quirk to raise your score by shredding these foe villains like a mid song guitar solo. But check it, make sure you're keeping things heroic. Attacking other examinees is a UA no, no, you dig?" Present Mic explained as the monitor behind him showed visuales of the exam.
"Excuse me sir? But I have a question," A student a few rows down from the three spoke up standing.
"Hit me!!" Present Mic pointed to him as a spotlight moved to the student.
"On the print out, you've listed four types of villains, not three. With all respect, if this is an error on official UA materials, it is shameful. We are exemplary students, we expect the best from Japan's most notable school. A mistake such as this won't do." He turned looking up the rows. "Additionally you with the unkempt hair," he said pointing at Izuko. "You've been muttering this entire time, stop that. If you can't bother to take this seriously leave, you're distracting the rest of us."
"Sorry," Izuko said, covering his mouth.
"I didn't even notice, sorry," Zin said smiling at her brother.
"How are you not bothered by that?" Kacchan asked, eyeing her.
"I grew up with it," she said back as the attention came back to Present Mic who was kinda taken back by the questions.
