George left me, muttering a small, "Bye, Jamie", before he took off into the night. I was left standing there, my mouth open, unable to process what George said.

"I'm...I'm in love?" I whispered, as I started walking back to my apartment.

I'm in love with Aiden. I'm in love with Aiden. I'm in love with Aiden.

...

Does Aiden love me back?

Well, he hasn't told me, but I haven't told him either. What if he is in love with me? That's good, if he is, because then we love each other and all's good. But what if he isn't?

...

What if he loves someone else?

I gasped. What if he does love someone else? Where does that leave me? Am I supposed to 'move on' from Aiden then? What if I can't?

What if he's married or something? What if he has a girlfriend?

Well, that's great then, isn't it, that I'm in love with a possibly married man. I sighed imapatiently, before setting off at a run. It wasn't long before my calves started burning. I need to get fit. Despite my sore legs, I started sprinting with a burst of energy I didn't know I had.

By the time I got home, I was exhausted. It didn't take long for me to flop down on a couch and fall into a dreamless sleep.
