Yerin trembled on the stone cold floor, holding onto both of her arms while mustering up all the strength not to cry. She hated this. She hated her life. Though, had it not been for her friends, she more than likely would not be on the planet.
The door to the cold room creaked open and upon seeing her supervisor, she squirmed backwards. The older woman took long strides towards her before grabbed her arm.
"It's about time you leave this place. Your actions must have been unsatisfying to the boss, so much that he's firing you!" She woman laughed, dragging Yerin out of the room before throwing her out the door of the second floor. "Get your things and leave, we don't need you here."
Yerin's mouth opened in shock, body still trembling. She was glad to be out but panic soon began to set in when she realized she won't be able to make good money anywhere else.
The time on her phone read midnight and she sighed to herself, trudging through the dressing room then out the back door. To her surprise, Jina stood outside, a cigarette to her lips. The cloud of smoke surrounded her yet it didn't bother her at all.
"J-Jina..." Yerin called out, startling the older woman who ran over to embrace her.
"Yerin, my goodness! Oh, look at you! You've changed so much in just a month." Jina's eyes were filled with worry as her eyes scanned every inch of her younger friend's face.
Yerin have her a weak smile, "I know you know about the private rooms." Jina hesitates, staring at her with widened eyes but Yerin just shook her head. "I'm not mad at you. I understand that you wouldn't be able to help me regardless. But today is my last day here. I'm being let go."
Jina's facial features dropped, guilt taking over her. "I'm so sorry, dear." She pulled her in for a hug, "I'm sorry I couldn't do better to protect you."
"It's okay. You've helped me a lot outside the private rooms and I'm really grateful for that. Maybe one day I'll see you around." Yerin held onto Jina's hands before letting go and walking away.
"Wherever you're going, I just know you'll be fine."

The apartment seemed empty when Jeno stepped foot into it. The lights were off and it was quiet throughout. Had it not been for Yerin's shoes in the front, he would've believed he was home alone. Not wanting to disturb the woman, he quietly made his way to his room.
The bathroom was filled with hot steam as Jeno stepped out of the shower. After being inside the club, he felt disgusting, wanting to wash away all of the putrid smells the building was filled with. With the towel wrapped around his waist, he stepped into his room and just plopped himself on the bed, too tired to move any further.
Thoughts filled his mind, wondering if it was a good idea to accept such a random offer just to save his friend. Regardless, he was going to help her out of there anyways but deep down, a bad feeling inside him grew and he couldn't pinpoint why.
A soft knock was heard from his bedroom door and he sat up quickly, opening the door to reveal Yerin. "Oh you're awake?"
However, Yerin was too stunned for words. Not only was he still dripping wet, he was nearly naked. Heat rose into her face, even up to her ears and embarrassment filled her up. "I'm so sorry for interrupting you!" And with that she ran into her room.
Jeno's brows furrowed in confusion but he shrugged, closing the door behind him. As he walked past his standup mirror, a look of horror appeared on his face as he realized why Yerin acted in such a way.
"Jeno, you dumbass!" He cursed to himself, throwing on a proper pair of clothes before walking out towards Yerin's room. "Yerin?"
The woman opened her door slightly. She was glad he wasn't half naked in front of her or else she would've passed out. "Hi," she mumbled.
"Look, I am so sorry, I didn't realize my situation." Jeno dragged his face down and groaned, feeling stupid.
However, his roommate smiled, opening the door wider and standing straight. "That's okay?" The two laughed off the awkwardness and joined each other on the couch. "So...I lost my job."
Jeno has to feign surprise. He knew it was because of him that she was let go but he couldn't figure out why she was sad. "What happened?"
Yerin shrugged with a deep sigh. "Guess I wasn't doing a good job. I mean, I don't want to do a good job there anyways but getting fired sucks. I won't have a good income anymore. I'm just glad I was able to save a boat load of money," she laughs.
A frown was etched onto Jeno's face before it dissipated and replaced with an agape mouth. "I have an idea!"
