One. Two. Punch. One. Two. Punch. And kick. Jeno recited in his head as he practiced with Jaemin. The latter decided to join the boxing team some time ago, feeling exhilarated from his first tryouts with the group. When he found out that Jeno was a part of it, it made him feel more excited knowing there was a friend with him.

"Wow, I really did not see that coming!" Jaemin cried out with a chuckle after he was punched in the arm.

Jeno grinned, his signature eye-smile showing. "It's all part of the game, my friend."

Once they were done sparring, applause was heard from outside the ring. The two men looked over to see Yerin, Donghyuck and Renjun smiling at them with water bottles and towels in their hands. The three became more acquainted after the many study sessions they would have over at her and Jeno's apartment.

"You guys are getting better and better." Yerin commented, picking up the empty water bottles from the floor.

Donghyuck mimicked a few of the boxing moves while bobbing back and forth. "Yah! Yah!"

Renjun scoffed, "You look stupid. That's why you're not part of the team."

"You look stupid," Donghyuck argued back, "I don't even want to be in the team. It just looks fun."

The rest of the group laughed at their quarreling while Jeno and Jaemin packed up their equipment.

"When is the championship?" Yerin asked, following the boys out of the building.

Jeno hummed as Jaemin answered. "It's in 2 months but we'll be travelling out of the city for a few days."

Yerin nodded in understanding, "I wish I could watch you guys for that."

"Oh?" Donghyuck's ears perked as he fell back in step with the woman, resting his arm on her shoulder. "I bet you just want to see Jeno, muscles and all, huh?" He said to her quietly so no one else could hear.

Yerin could feel her face heat up and she punched him on the side.

"Ow!"

A sweet aroma filled the noses of everyone in the room as their mouths began to water. It was fortunate of them to have come at the right time as they appeared at the doorway with an empty stomach and an appetite big enough to eat a cow. The textbooks in front of them turned into gibberish as their minds and their stomachs melted into one.

"Yerin, when is lunch ready?" Donghyuck whined, unable to think about his homework at that moment.

The woman rolled her eyes. "If you're that hungry, why don't you come and help me cook?" After a silent reply she huffed, "Exactly. So suffer a little then." And after that came a defeated groan from Donghyuck.

Jeno chuckled and shook his head, closing his textbook and standing up to make his way towards his roommate. "Here, I'll help you before they die of hunger."

"How can I do chemistry when I can barely do calculus?"

"You can barely do life."

The bickering between Renjun and Donghyuck (with the occasional input from Jaemin) did not go unnoticed by the two roommates as they shook their heads simultaneously.

"Here let me cut the meat for you, you can wash the vegetables." Jeno offered, taking the knife away from her.

A smile was plastered on Yerin's face, touched by his thoughtful actions. The two continued to cook together as their friends spoke softly to each other.

"I bet you guys 12,000 won that they'll hook up within a year." Renjun commented, hastily flipping through his textbook.

"I say within a month," countered Donghyuck who then nudged Jaemin, "What do you think?"

Jaemin smiled and shrugged, "I'm gonna stay out of this one."

Soon, lunch was served. Textbooks were flown on the couches as everyone pounced on the dishes like hungry wolves. Yerin sat back, watching as her friends enjoyed her cooking. Her lips curved upwards from ear to ear, feeling overjoyed as they continued to shower her with compliments on her food.

"Petition for Yerin to open up a restaurant!"

"This town needs a fresh new eatery for sure."

Jeno glanced over at his female roommate, his eyes crinkling upon seeing her beaming face. It was a sight he never got tired of.
