Jaemin didn't know what he was getting himself into. He blindly followed the address given to him by Alvin Young, surprised to see that it was a club. The music was blaring through the doors of the establishment.
He furrowed his brows and with each cautious step, made his way inside, wincing at the loud music that thumped in his ears. He was clueless of where to go, seeing dancers and waitresses everywhere. He was hesitant to move but eventually walked over to the only bar in the building and mustered up the courage to talk to the bartender.
"Excuse me...Where can I find Alvin Young?" Jaemin asked slowly.
The bartender looked up at him, startled. "Alvin Young? Why do you ask?"
"Um, I was asked to meet him here at this address," Jaemin fished out the now-crumpled piece of paper that had the address written down, as well as a phone number. "He wanted to talk to me about a job offer...?"
The bartender gave Jaemin a good look up and down before pointing him in the direction of Alvin's office. Jaemin bowed his head and uttered a short 'thank you' before scurrying off towards the back doors. He ended up in another hallway, a flight of stairs on one side and in front of him were doors so grand, they didn't seem fit to be in a club.
A voice called from the other side after Jaemin knocked on the door softly. "Um, I'm Jaemin. I was asked to meet with Alvin Young."
Soon, the door opened to reveal an older man, no older than 38 appeared before him with a daunting smile, though Jaemin wasn't sure why he felt so uneasy.
"Mr. Na, it's a pleasure to finally meet you. Please come in!" The man spoke. "I'm Alvin Young, as you may have already guessed," he says as he sits at his seat behind the desk.
Jaemin politely bows his head, "Yes sir. It's nice to meet you."
"Alright. Well, I know I asked you to come here but I'm a very busy man, so let's get down to business." Jaemin nodded. "I want to recruit you in my very own boxing team. I have seen your skills at the championship. Despite your injury, you seem to be a very promising fighter with good energy and its something I'm looking for."
"I don't mean to sound rude but...you have a boxing team?" Jaemin questions, his eyebrows arched high.
Alvin laughs, "Yes I do. Although I hold the official matches and sponsor them, my team is not big like famous boxers. In fact, our team is almost like a school team. We fight against different groups but with each victory, we earn money. I know you're a college student, so if you were to accept my offer, you'd be getting a pretty hefty amount, enough to pay for your schooling."
Jaemin's eyes nearly popped out of its sockets. "You're the boxing league's sponsor?!"
He contemplates for a bit before Alvin interrupted his thoughts, "If it makes your decision easier, your teammate, Lee Jeno, is also part of my team. I think you both would be a great match."
"Really? Well in that case, I guess I'll accept." Jaemin stands up to shake Alvin's outstretched hand, "Thank you for the offer, sir."
Alvin smiles - it made Jaemin slightly uneasy but knowing that Jeno was a part of the man's team, and Jeno is usually very smart about his choices, made Jaemin feel better. "No, thank you, Na Jaemin. I look forward to working with you soon. I'll give you a call when the details are worked out."

Jeno immediately sat up on the couch, startling Yerin who sat beside him as they went over the finalization of her menu.
"Is everything okay?" She asked, worries etched on her facial features.
Jeno nodded hesitantly, unsure of the uneasiness that spread throughout his body at that moment. "I think so. I just felt weird for a split second."
Yerin laughs, "You had a long day, just rest. I think we're pretty much done anyways." She stacks her paper into the folder and closes it.
The two fell into a comfortable silence, just sitting on the couch while the TV plays in the background.
"Did I tell you I got a job?" Jeno started, cutting through the silence. "I start in a week."
Yerin's facial features lit up, "Really? That's great! What's the job?"
Jeno forces a smile at her, "I'm actually going to be a part of a boxing team. It's nothing big like the pros but it pays pretty well. The only thing is that my boss is making me move into another apartment. And he's going to pay for it."
Silence ensued them once again, though this time, the atmosphere seemed tense. Yerin wasn't sure how she felt. She had been Jeno's roommate for approximately half a year, and they've become the best of friends. They did almost everything together.
Her heart felt heavy but she thought about it clearly. He was only moving to a new apartment, it wasn't like they weren't ever going to see each other again. Plus, they aren't even in a relationship so why feel like a heartbroken and lonely girlfriend.
Yerin almost laughed at the thought. She mustered a smile to Jeno. "Thats great, Jeno. I'm actually really happy to hear that. I guess maybe I should start looking for a 1 bedroom apartment of my own now, huh?" She was only joking but Jeno fully agreed.
"I can help you look for one! You wouldn't have to pay too much rent either." He smiles at her and Yerin couldn't help but to laugh at his expression.
"Okay, then let's look around tomorrow."
