Skies The Limit (Hawks x reader)

Hospital Nostalgia

It had been a few days since you were brought to the hospital. You were still in your coma like state, you have been doing better so you were said to waken any day now. Hawks and Miruko had been let out about two days earlier. Every now and then Hawks and Miruko would check up on you to see if you were awake yet.

You had finally woken up, it was about a week later and all the symptoms of the drug had worn off. You couldn't really remember what had happened, it was all a blur. "Ma'am where am I?" you had asked the nurse. "You're in the hospital sweetie, you were in a coma like state for almost a week now." the nurse replied before quickly adding another thing in, "You also have a visitor." she walked out of the room and let them in.

"Kid you're finally up" Hawks said walking in the room. You were still confused on what had happened, so you still needed some clarification. " What happened?" you questioned. "Well you got kidnapped by the LOV. Miruko and I saved you but before we could Dabi blocked us off, you used your quirk and got us out of there before passing out again. I flew you here and you have been in the hospital since." he briefly explained. "You got quite a powerful quirk there." he complimented you. "Uh thanks" was all that you could manage to say while your cheeks heated up a bit.

"I came in to ask you if you knew why you were kidnapped or anything you know that we don't, we just want to-" you quickly cut him off saying "Yeah I have a pretty good guess on why I was kidnapped" Hawks was a bit confused but he replied "You...do?" The answer was a hard and touchy subject for you. You eyes started to water a bit just thinking about it. You knew that once most people found out they thought of you differently, they thought that you too were a monster, just like him.

You stuttered a bit, but you were able to get out the information you needed to say, "S-Shigaraki is my older brother" Hawks stood there in shock at what you had just said yet he let you continue on what you were saying. "According to him I was the favorite child," you paused trying to remember more, "I d-don't really remember much of my childhood, but I'll try my best. He always told me that he was never loved by our parents, especially after his quirk had developed,  our parents ignored whatever he did, even him in general. Everyone considered him a monster, no matter how hard he tried our parents didn't care. Anything that I did made our parents proud. I never understood why our parents didn't like him he was the sweetest person when we were kids."

You took a deep breathe, the next part was always the worst to say, to even think about. "One day he just had snapped and his quirk took over him and he killed our family, after that he left home. I was left to take care of myself alone and learn how to do things on my own. After he left I didn't see him for years, until I started working as a Hero. That's when I found out he was with the LOV. He always tried to get me to join but I never would. Then one day my boyfriend, well ex boyfriend, was told to join otherwise Shigaraki would kill me."

Hawks was in shock hearing the words come out of your mouth. "I- I'm sorry kid, I didn't know that he even had a sister," he uttered. "It's fine, I don't normally tell people anyways" you stated. You were always put in situations where people would look at you with disgust or leave you when they found out. You just wanted people to understand that just cause your brother made the choices he made, didn't mean you were like him.

"I gotta go but I'm sorry to hear what you've had to go through." he said apologetically knowing there was nothing he could have done about it. "Thank you for saving me" you managed to say before he left the room. He turned his head around and said "I'm just doing my job, and I hope you get better soon" before walking out the room. 

A few minutes later after Hawks had left you noticed there was a piece of paper balled up on the floor next to your bed. You opened the note and it read:

I heard about your agency and if you want you can work at mine until yours is rebuilt. Call 1-865-768-9866 if you agree to work with me for a bit

(A.N I just hit random numbers for the cell number so please don't call it)

You mumbled under your breath, "Did the number two hero really just invite me to work with him?!" You were confused and happy at the same time. Getting to work with the bigger heros was always a dream of yours, and now was your chance to get your name out and be able to do more things as a hero. There was only one downside to this, you had a small crush on the number two hero. You were contemplating whether to call or not, but within a few minutes you had your final decision.

A few hours later the nurse came in and said that you were free to go. You pick up your things and  walk out the hospital. While walking down the street you look at the note in your hand and dial the number. Another agent answered the call, "Hello, are you Miss Y/n?" the agent asked.

 "Yes," you were still quite nervous on just the thought of doing this but you were able to gather some confidence. The agent was quick to reply "Have you decided to work with Mister Hawks until your agency is up and running again?" You were hesitant to answer but you finally said yes. "Alright, if you wanted to stop by today and check out the agency, we wouldn't mind." You agreed and hung up the phone. A few seconds later you get texted the address then begin to walk toward the building.
