Prt:5 One Close Call

Nico's Pov~

"WERE IS THE STUPID KID" loud yelling awoke me. Sitting up I noticed my poor sub shaking, attempting to hide under the blanket.

"Baby, whats wrong? Whats happening?" I ask pulling him closer to me, trying desperately to calm him.

"T-They work for father.. They're g-going to t-take me back." My poor baby cried out softly. My poor baby just whippered, "I don't wanna go back."

I growled and pulled him closer in response "No they arn't.." I told him "I have a plan but you need to stay hidden, ok?" I asked.

"O-Ok" he said

Slowly getting out from under him, i pull the cover over him. "N-Nico what are you doing?" He asked, still shaking.

"Im going to try and send them away from us, but you need to stop shaking incase they come to look in here, ok baby?" I ask, looking the terrified sub in the eye.

"Y-You promise you'll come back?" He asked looking up at me.

Running my hand through his hair I reply "Of course baby, I'm not going to leave you"

"Y-You're not going t-to let them h-have me, right?" He asked, looking up at me once again for confirmation.

"Of course not baby" I reply, "I'm never going to let them hurt you again."

He just looked at me eye filled with unshed tears, "thank you" was all he said.

"No problem baby.. Now make sure to be as still as possible. I'm going to try and send them off as quick as possible." I tell him giving him a small kiss on his forehead before covering him up and walking to the entrance of the cave.

After exiting the cave I spot the owner of the voice, and one other person. They seem to be complaing about something. "Excuse me" I call to the two mermen. "May I ask why your shouting at such an ungodly hour." I ask, pretending to yawn.

"Sorry sir it's just, a stupid kid ran off and his father wants him brought back" the taller of the two said.

"I kid?" I reply, trying to sound concerned. "How old is? What does he look like?"

"He is 16 with black hair and uhhh.. green eyes? They were green right?"

"What about name?" I ask

"Perry? Somthing like that."

They dont even know his name!?! I was seething just got to play along to make sure they leave "I think I saw some one matching that description southeast" I tell them knowing the yellow orb was in the other direction.

"Thanks for you help. But why are you out here?" The man asked looking me over.

"Oh I'm out fetching somthing for my father. Its quite a ways from home so I stop to rest last night." I tell them hoping the will by the lie.

"Ok but we really should check the cave."

"Ok. Follow me" gods I hope Percy listened to me.

Re-entering the cave I say rather loudly "it's a bit of a mess basically just threw  the blanket on some of my supplies."

"Well doesn't look. To bad a bit messy. Well we better be on our way." One of them said swiming out of the cave. I give it a few minutes before heading over to the blanket and pulling it back to reveal my beautiful sub.

"Ok baby" I whisper "you can come out now."

Hopping up he hides his face in my shirt. "You w-were gone for so long... I-I thought something happened to you." My poor baby crys.

"No love, I'm still here now come on we need to pack so we can leave" I tell him pulling him up.

"O-Ok what do you want me to do" he asked in a sweet little voice.

Smiling I ask "can you cook?"

"A little bit, why?" he asked.

Chuckling I hand him the bag with the food I brought. "Just prepare a something, I'll get everything packed."

"Ok"

--time skip to after--
--they ate and were packed--

"Your a good cook baby" I smile ate the small blushing sub.

"T-Thank you" he squeeked out.

Smirking, I get up and put the rest of the stuff away. "Time to go love" I tell. Pulling him up. "Lets head up to the surface we don't want another close call" picking up the rest of the supplies I lead him out of the cave.

"N-Nico?"

"Yes baby? I ask as we break through the waters surface.

"What if they don't like me..."

I turn to look at the small sub, "what if who doesn't like you?"

"T-The other mate..." He mubled out biting his lip.

I pull him to me and reply "they are going to love you, sweetheart. Your perfect." I tell him holding him close.

"Y-You think so?" He asked his ocean hued eyes looking up at me filled with hope.

"Of course, baby"

His response was a small hug.

"Now come on, we want to get to them soon. They can help us protect you." I tell him planting a light kiss on his forehead. "And remember baby tell me when you feel tired, I'll carry you till either your ready to swim again or until its dark, Ok?"

"Y-You dont have to" he replyed, head tilted down a faint blush residing on his face.

Chuckling, I reply "thats my job love. I'm suposed to care for you, remember? All subs need breaks. Besides I wouldn't mind caring someone as cute as you~"

The poor sub's face was rather red at this point. "Come on baby lets get going."
