Meera greeted everyone including the relatives and a few business partners of Singhanias. At first she was shocked to see so many people but later understood that rather than witnessing their wedding, they came just to see if Veer actually is alright. "Some people can be really disgusting" thought Meera.
Time went by and it was already 11 o'clock but there was no sight of Mahi. People started gossiping and murmuring. Meera felt very upset hearing them talk as if they weren't talking about her.
They were whispering all kind of nasty things...

Is she having an affair? Is that why Veer left her standing?

Veer must be feeling bad for ruining her life.... That's why he didn't come.
Her friends could feel how upset she was. Daisy was the most short tempered girl in their group. She lost her cool and said, " If you don't have anything good to say, just shut your mouth. Or else plz God help me... "
Alina calmly said, “Daisy calm down. Don't start a fight right now plz. Ria make her understand.”
Hearing her one of gossiping women said, “ Right!! Ask her to shut up. Insolent girl... Hmmmph!!”
Alina faced that woman and said, “Aunty you are elder than us and I respect you. But Meera is already tensed. You people are making her more nervous. The groom is late maybe he is stuck in traffic or something. Let's assume that he eloped but why is it Meeras fault? What wrong did she do? Plz tell me.”

After hearing them everyone stopped whispering at all. Some even apologised to Meera because they also know in their heart that it isn't Meeras fault.
Time went by and soon people started leaving one by one after giving Meera blessings as it was already 1 o'clock. Still there was no sign of Mahi. The only remaining people were Meera, her friends, her aunt & uncle and Veers parents.
