-UPDATE WAS FOR GRAMMATICAL CHANGES-

Yuki woke to the blaring alarm clock coming from her cell phone. She groaned reaching for her phone and turning off the alarm and rolled over on her futon and stared at the window. She sat up and looked around her room, her mother was gone; she most likely left early in the morning. She sighed standing up as she walked out of her room and towards the sink.

The mirror reflected her own reflection.  Her hair was a mess it was tangled badly and needed to get brushed, but instead of cleaning herself up, she stared at the mirror. She took a deep breath.

"I can tell it is going to be a long day," she mumbled.

After cleaning herself up and dressing in her school's uniform- it was the nicest clothing she owned-she went towards her fridge to look for something to eat. The words of the lecturing Aito played in her head, "You have to eat a healthy breakfast! You are not allowed to not eat in the mornings or else I will... Embarrass you! Ha!" Yuki grimaced at the thought of Aito doing that. He kept his word and had done it before in class. The memory of him starting to sing a song about her still made her embarrassed and ever since she ate something even if it was something as simple as toast.

The fridge was usually empty. Yuki often went out to the store after class to get food to cook for dinner, but this morning there was already a breakfast made. A sticky note on the plate written by her mother.

Make me proud :p

Yuki smiled grabbing the plate and seeing onigiri. This was Himari; she was simple and often tried to encourage her daughter with food. Yuki took a bite from the onigiri and looked over at the clock on the wall, "Huh, it's 8:05. The entrance exams start at 8:40? I think.  It's a thirty-minute trip to the testing site.  I have time." She sat down taking another bite of food before jumping out of her seat. "I'm going to be late!"

Yuki grabbed her bag and ran out the door. Panic on her face as she ran as fast as she could. Yuki could feel herself on the verge of tears. Did she sleep past all her alarms? Most likely she did. "I knew I shouldn't have gone out last night, fuck."

Panic was all Yuki could feel. She should make it in time, with ten minutes to spare but what if something happened.  It was reasonable for her to panic, her mother's lectures repeated in her head now, if only she listened to her mother more often.  Himari was always about timeliness be at least twenty minutes early.  It gives you time to prepare and if something comes up you still will be on time.  Yuki usually followed this guideline in life, but there were times where she would sleep past an alarm or just forget entirely.

Yuki came to a skidding stop at the U.A. testing site, breathing heavily before checking her watch, 8:35.  She sighed with relief before pulling out her phone and checking her email to see which location she had to go to.  She froze, "Oh.  I'm early.  The testing doesn't start until 9.  Huh,"  Yuki shrugged and looked up from her phone to see Aito staring at her.  They both were frozen and staring at each other.

Yuki panicked and shoved her phone into her pocket.

"A..Aito!  How good it is to see you!"  Yuki rubbed the back of neck trying to act natural.

"Why are you here?"

"Oh for the exam!"

"I thought you were just going for general education.  Their exams were last week."

"Oh?"

"Yuki, I'll be fine on my own.  I don't need you to cheer me on.  You should have slept in."
