Masters and Monsters; a Ninjago High School story (ON HOLD)

Welcome to Curiosity High!!

Cole's POV

It was 11:45pm. They'll close any minute now...

"Are you just gonna stare at the noodle house or are we gonna leave?" 

"AAAHH!" I screamed. Seeing who it was I put my hand over my heart and let out a deep breath, "Skylor, it's just you."

"Yes it's me. You got your bag packed? I'm dying to get away from my dad."

"Oh haha, nice pun." I said sarcastically.

We took our bags and walked down to the port. There we saw two kids dressed in all black, another kid was wearing all blue, but the one who caught my attention had pink and blue hair! Who the heck dies there hair pink and blue?!

Anyways, after a few minutes, a boat pulled up. A man was on it, he had a long white beard and bamboo staff. He looked about a million years old, too. 

"Alright, everyone onboard." he said.

We all looked around at each other. I guess they were a bit confused, too. 

"Um.... what?" one of the kids in black asked.

"I said get onboard. We're going to Curiosity High." the old man replied, "I'm Sensei Wu."

I perked up at that name. See, when I was little, my class went on a field trip to Yang's temple. My friend, Griffin Turner, dared me to go inside and when I excepted...... let's just say it didn't end well. When I came home that night to my dad, he wasn't very happy about his son being a ghost.

I lived on the streets for a few weeks until I was caught in the dumpster of Chen's Noodle House, looking for food. But the employee who caught me, brought me inside and took me to Chen. Skylor was in the same room, playing with dolls or something. It's kind of hard to remember. 

Anyways, they locked me in a cage, where I spent the rest of my life, mouring over the sorrow and regrets I held in my heart..... JUST KIDDING! I was only in there for a few hours before Skylor came. 

"Why are you in here?" she asked in her 8-year-old voice. 

"I-I was h-h-hungry and I-I-I-" I managed to say before she stopped me.

"Shut up and eat this." She handed me a bowl of noodles, "And don't worry, Daddy's gonna let you out soon. Right now he's just making sure you're a real ghost!"

No matter how confused I was, I was twice as hungry. So I took the noodles and gobbled them down. 

"T-t-thanks"

"You're welcome! Now I have to go, or my dollies will miss the beheading." She said before leaving. I stared wide-eyed at her while she skipped away. 

Skylor was right by the way, they took me in. As long as I was a ghost, I could stay with them. That's what they told me and I was very grateful. 

A few weeks ago though, Sky and I found letters in our rooms about Curiosity, signed by Sensei Wu. After getting denied by Chen to go, Skylor begged me to sneak out, which I agreed to.

Anyways, I guess everyone else had heard that name before too, because we all began walking to the boat and getting on. 

Once we had left the dock, it was out to sea. Skylor and I stayed close to one another, since we didn't know nor trust anyone else. 

"WATCH OUT!"

I looked over and saw a crazy flying bat pass us. It turned the corner and I heard a loud "oof!" Running over, I saw the pink and blue-haired girl from earlier, sitting on the floor in front of  wall, rubbing her head.

"Are you okay?" I asked, holding out my hand.

"I'm fine. Just trying not to be stupid. Looks like I failed though." She rejected my help and stood up on her own. "I'm Seliel."

"Cole. And this is my friend, Skylor." I replied, gesturing to my friend.

"Hi! It's nice to meet you. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to try and not fly into the wall." Seliel flashed me a smile, where I saw...... fangs? 

She was about to walk off before I grabbed her arm, "Do you know anyone else here?" 

"No, why?"

"Why don't you stay with us? Sky and I could use the company"

"Really?" her eyes lit up

"Really." I smiled, "Now come on, I wanna introduce you to Skylor"

Skylor's POV

"HEY SKY!" I heard from behind me. 

Turning around, I see Cole and some pink haired girl walking over to me.

"Oh hey Cole! Who's this?" I ask

The pink-haired girl smiles, "I'm Seliel, nice to meet you!" 

"So what do you think about going to Curiosity?" Cole asked.

"I'm not what to think. I mean, it's cool and all, but what'll it be like?" I replied.

"You've got a point. We really don't know anyone." Seliel agreed.

We sat in silence watching the ocean flow away. 

"Curiosity is for 'monsters' right?" I asked

Cole and Seliel nodded

"Well it's obvious Cole's a ghost, and but what about you, Seliel?"

"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you." She smiled, showing me to fangs, "I'm a vampire."

"REALLY?! THAT'S SO COOL!" I shouted.

"It's not as cool as people think. It's actually a lot of responsibility. Especially when your dad hates you." her smile faded. "Anyways, enough about me, what 'monster' are you, Sky?"

"See, I was born with this weird genetics things and...well....." I took a deep breath and sighed, "I'm half skeleton."

"Well yeah, everyone has a skeleton." she smiled, as if it was no big deal.

"I don't think you understand....." I trailed oof.

"Well it just so happens that your friend here," Cole gestured to me, "is only mostly dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. But with all dead, there's only one thing you can do; search their pockets for loose change"

Seliel let out a small "ooooohhhhh" before giggling. 

Cole was about to say something when we heard Wu's voice from a speaker. "Would everyone please make their way to the front of the boat, we have arrived."

Rushing toward the front of the boat, we (along with the others) were amazed by what we saw. 

There was a huge, fancy building that looked about 20 floors high. Along with a sing across the front that read, "Curiosity High School" 

"Well guys,  it's too late to turn back now,' I said, "So whatever happens let's give it our all!"
