Akita's POV

"DAD! MOM! KATARU! IS THAT YOU?"

No response. I had just gotten back from my monthly free run, and since my brother was working today, I had the house to myself. Or so I thought. When I came inside, I sat down on the couch, only to hear noises from upstairs.

In an effort to defend myself, I grab a pair of scissors from my dad's desk, and slowly walk up the staircase.

"M-m-mom? Dad? Kataru? H-hello?" I stutter.

"Man," a voice said, "I thought your kind was supposed to be faster than that."

"Well sorry for being worried about my life. Now, WHO ARE YOU?" I say firmly.

The voice laughs, "That's cute. I thought you'd know who I am by now. I'll give you a hint, princess;"

They laughed one more time before a pure silver blade speeds right past my face and into the wall.

"I'd run if I were you." They finished, before a chill races down my spine. Quickly grabbing the blade, I run back downstairs and back into the wall.

As a shadow slowly creeps down the steps towards me, I take a deep breath and focus.

Here we go.

I can do this.

This is what I've been training for.

Letting out a small growl, I sneak behind the staircase and wait.

Just a little longer...

Any second now....

Perfect.

I jump out from behind the staircase, in my wolf form and barked at the stranger. Instead of being surprised or scared like I'd expected, he just let out an evil laugh.

"Oh, your kind is so stupid!" he said, laughing hard. Then he slowly calmed down, before smiling devilishly, "To bad there won't be any more of you left."

(A/N: Okay, to be honest, I'm horrible at writing fights, so bear with me!)

Without warning, the stranger jumped at me with two more silver blades in his hands. I managed to dodge just in time, before biting his arm and using that force to fling him across the room.

Whoever this guy was, wouldn't give up. After taking a hard hit, he slowly stood up then charged at me.

"Who are you? What do you want?!" I yelled

"What does it look like, princess? I want a tea party?"

"ANSWER MY QUESTION B-"

Another silver blade flew past me.

"I wouldn't say that if I were you."

I turned back into a wolf and ran outside. The strange guy followed me, and once he did, I could finally see what he really looked like.

His hair was a creamy blonde color, and although it wasn't as curly as mine, it was still wavy nonetheless. He was wearing dark green sweatpants and hoodie. To be honest, he looked a bit familiar. I looked down at my wrist. Then it hit me.
