"Come on baby, you can do it!"
Austin tried his best to soothe his girlfriend as she cried out in pain as she desperately tried to deliver their baby. The process was practically torturing her.
Ainsley had decided she wanted to have a completely natural birth, no pain meds, no hospital, nothing. All natural. They were currently sitting in the baby pool together, Austin seated behind Ainsley as she pushed.
She let out another cry as she pushed. She just wanted it to be over, and so did Austin. He hated seeing his girlfriend in so much pain, and on the other hand he wanted so desperately to meet his child.
Austin lovingly kissed Ainsleys neck as she leaned into him, breathing heavily with tears running down her face. He rubbed his hands up and down her arms gently, doing everything in his power to comfort her.
"You're doing great baby, you're almost there" Austin whispered to her. She nodded as another expression of pain came acrossed her face, signaling another contraction was approaching.
"Breathe baby, you can do it" He soothed. Ainsley grabbed his hand and squeezed as she pushed. The midwife got a promising look on her face.
"The baby's almost here, one more push"
"Come on baby just one more push, you're almost done" Austin gave her hand a reassuring squeeze and kissed her head. Ainsley pushed with all she had, and cries erupted into the room along with praises from the midwife.
The biggest smile came across Austin's face as their baby boy was placed in Ainsleys arms. They looked at their son in awe, happy that he was finally here. Ainsley was crying, relieved that the process was over, and that her son was here. Austin kissed her head and watched as his son opened his eyes for the first time.
"You did it baby, he's here" He said with pure love and happiness in his voice. The midwife took some pictures of the happy family.
"What's his name?" She asked.
The couple looked at each other and back at their smiling baby boy.
"Theodore, Theodore Hudson Porter"
