Stages and Criteria

ROUND 1 - Results must be sent to us within two days after the award commences.

Criteria
Chapter 1

Blurb: 5 points
Cover: 5 points
Set up/Grammar: 10 points
Total: 20

6 of 10 will progress.

ROUND 2 - Results must be sent to us within one week after the award commences.

Criteria
Chapter 2 - 3

Grammar: 10 points
Pacing: 10 points
Description: 10 points
Total: 30

3 of 6 will progress.

ROUND 3 - Results must be sent to us within two weeks after the award commences.

Criteria
Chapter 4 - 5

Grammar - 10 points
Pacing - 10 points
Description - 10 points
Premise - 10 points
Characters - 10 points
Total: 50

From the final three entries that made it to Round 3, the first, second and third place will be determined.

Judges must provide a short 100-200 word review for the first place winner alone.
