Chapter 8- Sticks and stones may break my bones but words kill me.

Ben POV
Mike finally comes home. I pretend to be reading but I'm actually hurting from having cut my entire left arm..
I look at mike and smile.
"Ah.. So you found your mums favourite book.", He said and I looked down at the book and read the title,"The legends of monkey".
"It was my mums favourite book?"
He nods and sits down next to me.
He noticed I'm in my jacket still but he doesn't question it.
"Yeah she loved to read it. That and you used to watch Avatar with her..", He said and I frowned.
"Avatar?"
"The last air bender.. It was your favourite show but your mum, Edith didn't let you watch it once she adopted you.. Do you wanna put it on?"
I nodded and we began to watch ATLA.
Atleast half way through season one mike picked up the phone.
"Yes can we have two pizzas.", He said and then said pepperoni and a margarita for me.
Oh pepperoni like the topping on that pizza from his and Devi date.
Devi.. She's not yours anymore..
I just sighed and ate it my stomach being happy I had finally ate. I then watched Aang crushing on katara and her calling him a sweet little guy like momo.. I kinda related to him tbh.
Although that's true my  favourite character is Uncle Iroh and Zuko.
I couldn't help but chuckled and watched as iroh just wanted some tea and his nephew was trying to regain his HonOUr.
I soon fell asleep and Mike must've covered me with a blanket because I woke up with one.
I looked at the time and decided to head back to my house.

The next day rolls around and I'm going back in school.. I don't want to but it is Eleanor's play and I don't wanna miss it.
I ran a hand through my hair and closed my locker.
A girl I had never seen before was standing close to me and playing with her hair.
"You know Ben your soo cool.. Your like the new Paxton! He's turned into a good egg and your taking his place.. Do you wanna go out with me sometime?"
I rated st the girl and gave her a thin smile.
"Um..Maybe.. I just got out of a rela-"
"Ya I know you dumped that nerd.", She said and popped a piece of gum in her mouth.
I couldn't help but look at the girl.
She had ginger straight hair and brown eyes.
She was waring a vest and a WAAAAYYY to short skirt on.
"She's not a nerd.", I snapped and the girl chuckled.
"Ya she is Ben.. I know you wanna touch my big tits.", She said and I stare dat her blushing.
"N-No I don't even-I-I.",I got defeated and I looked at Devi form across the hall and she was looking at me and she looked scared. "No im sorry.. Um I kinda like someone else.", I said and rubbed the back of my neck.
The girl then grabbed my left arm and I hissed at her.
"I didn't want to anyway.. I just wanted to see your cuts.", She said and pressed her chest up to mine.
"It turns me on."
I backed away form this psycho and chuckled nervously.
"Um no.. And I don't cut! O-ok?"
She let out a if breath and she flicked her hair.
"Yeah and I'm married to Paxton!", She said sarcastically making me a bit angry.
She then walked of and I sighed.
"Girl trouble?"
It was the first time Devi had spoke to me in days.
I fell for her again..
"YA.. Anyway I'm gonna go! Nice talking.", I said and she looked at me frowning.
"Hmm black looks good on you.", She said and then walked of leaving me to turn red.
She doesn't like you anyway Ben..
I sighed and made my way to class.
"Ok everyone the play is tonight.", The teacher  said and I felt deflated to do a come back.
I felt the devil whisper and I pushed it away.
I then stared at the clock for the rest of the lesson and made my way to the next and the next until lunch rolled around.
I went into the stall and swigged some of my "water" I bought at break.
I held myself up and tried not to let my thoughts wonder to much..
The play rolled around and I say above Devi next to Fabiola and her girlfriend.
"Hey thanks for letting me sit with you guys.", I said honestly and they both chuckled.
"Your still out mate Ben.. Even if you and Devi are going through a ruff patch I know you'll at least be friends by the end of it.", Fabiola said and I smiled at her.
She smiled and began giggling.
"Jesus that's the first time I've seen you smile in weeks Ben! It's nice.. You have a lovely smile.", She said and I looked down and blushed a little.
The play then started and I then saw who was sat next to Devi.
Paxton..
Why should I feel jealous? Devi doesn't even like him? Or does she..
I stared at them the entire play my jealousy taking over.
Paxton then put his arm around Devi and she let him..
She'll never love you again Ben.. Your better if dead.
I let the devil blur my mind but I was brought back when I saw Paxton kiss Devi...

Devi POV
I miss Ben so much.. More than I admit.
I walked in school and looked around.
Everyone was excited about the play.. I was for one reason..Els is playing the lead!
I smiled and started taking some books form my locker.
I turned to see a very hot girl flirting with a guy in a leather jacket.
Ugh cliche..
I then saw who was in the jacket and felt my heart drop..
Ben.. He looks like a emo..
He has black make up on his eyes and a black leather jacket and gloves on.
The girl Im pretty sure her names bitch whore.
Grabbed his arm making him hiss.
She then pressed her boobs on his chest and I couldn't look at what most likely happened next.
I saw her walk past me a frown on her face and I walked up to Ben. He seemed ok his own world.
"Girl trouble?", I said and he looked at me and shuffled a little,"Ya.. Im gonna go! Nice talking to you!", He said and I stared at his eyes and frowned Why was he eating make up it did look good though.
"Hmm Black looks good on you.", I smiled and he blushed and I walked away.. He sighed though and I watched as he walked to class.
I sighed and then bumped into Paxton.
He seemed a bit nervous which raised a few questions.
"What's up Pool boy?"
He chuckled at my joke and he rubbed he back of his neck.
"L-look I know your not over Ben yet.. I respect that I do.. But.. Can I sit with you at the play? All my friends have left me because of the Ben thing.. Your my only friend left Devi.", He sighed genuine sadness in his vioce.
"Ofcourse that's what friends are for.", I said and put my hand on his shoulder.
"Thanks Devi."

The play rolled around and I saw Ben talking to Fab above me.. Paxton waved and sat down next to me getting rid of my nervousness in an instant.
The play started and halfway through Paxton put his hands around my shoulders.
"Your shaking Devi..", he said and I noticed I was.
"Thanks."
He smiled a small blush on his face and I smiled.
His hand went on the back of my neck and he kissed me..
My eyes where wide open.
But then I closed them.. It felt wrong.. These lips weren't Bens.
I then pulled of and saw that Ben has left.
"Wheres he going?", I said to Fabiola and she shrugged.
"Why should I know?"
I then cursed under my breath and stared at Paxton.
"What was that for?!"
"I-IM sorry I go caught up in He moment I'm soo sorry Devi!", He said and I stared at him.
"I forgive you but lets go find Ben.", I said and he nodded.
We then left and started walking around school.
"Ben!", we both Shouted and we heard nothing..
We searched everywhere in school.. he had left..
"He's probably headed home.", Paxton said and I nodded.
We weren't ready for what happened next..

Ben POV
I saw her close her eyes enjoying it and I felt my heart smash again..
Devi and Paxton are a better fit.. Everyone doesn't even want me here..
I let the devil sink in and I left and made my way home.
I saw a shiny sharp knife.. I smiled and grabbed it before slicing deeep into both of my wrists.. I let it drip and finally fainted my head feeling dizzy.. I saw a bright light and wanted to go to it.. But I then looked behind me to see Devi, Patty, Mike.. Everyone I love back there.. I turn back towards the light to see a women walking towards me.
"My son.. It's your choice.. Die and join me into the next plain of existence or live and you will have a meaningful life until you die of natural causes.", the women said and I realised.
"Mummy? Is that you?"
The women smiled.
"Choose my son.."
"I..I choose..*******"
My mum smiled and flicked her hand.. I smiled and was ready to go..
