"Hawks isn't training today?" Tokoyami asks cocking his head to the side.
"No wasnt feeling the best today so he stayed home." I shrug sipping my tea.
"Congratulations! You and boss got engaged!" One of the woman who works at the agency runs up to me hugging me.
"Uh thanks." I say the woman walking off again. "Where's Shoto?" I ask Tokoyami.
"His dad made him stay at his house instead of the dorms over the weekend." I nod sitting down in a chair.
"Gross." Tokoyami nods sitting down next to me.
The office doors opens Shoto walking in his face hidden with a hoodie.
"Hey kiddo." I smile standing up.
He lifts his head showing me his black eye and busted lip. "Whoa what happened?" I ask taking his face in my hands examining the damage.
"I made someone mad." He sighs trying to pull his face away.
"Who."
"It's fine." I make him look at me again.
"Who did this?" I whisper.
He closes his eyes before opening them and sighing. "My father. I refused to train so he, he hit me." I pull him into my chest my wings instinctively wrapping around him.
"Tokoyami your free to do whatever. I've gotta talk with Shoto." He nods the teen standing up and leaving. "Sit." I grab his arm leading him over to the couch.
"Don't do anything. It was a one time thing, I should have just agreed to train a little more." Shoto rushes out.
"You did nothing wrong. Your dad is a piece of shit. If I could I would have you move in with me. But just know your what 16, 17? You'll get out soon enough. Me and Hawks will be there. Always." I smile hugging him tightly. "We can either stay here or go back to my apartment. Your hanging out with me the rest of the day."
Shoto stands up nodding. "Can we just go hang out at your house if that's okay?"
"Yeah of course. Let's go."
"Hey bird brain I'm home! Shoto is with me!" I call opening the door to see Keigo sitting with Miruko on the couch cup of tea in hand.
I cock my head to the side. "Hi?" I say nudging Shoto into the apartment and closing the door behind me.
"Your home? Hey what happened kid?" Keigo stands up showing me he's in my hoodie and boxers.
Cute. "I um fell." Shoto mumbles looking down at his feet.
Miruko stands up walking over to me letting Keigo and Shoto talk. "I'm Rumi Usagiyama. You can call me Rumi." She shakes my hand smiling sweetly.
"Call me Jada. Didn't know you guys knew each other." I glance over at my finance who sits down with Shoto his gaze hardening the more he hears about what happened.
"We've worked together a few times. Keigo wanted to catch up." I nod as she looks back cocking her head to the side. "That Endeavor's kid?"
"Yeah. He interns with me." She turns back to me.
"Why is he here?" She asks crossing his arms.
"Didn't need to do anything today. He deserves a day off too." I say leaning down at Titan runs up to me meowing happily. "Hi buddy." I pick him up Rumi's eyes widening.
"That's a cat."
"Yup."
"You have a bird quirk. And a cat.
"Yes."
"He doesn't attack you?"
I scrunch my nose shaking my head. "No he never has. Even though he's a big cat he's a sweetheart. Here pet him." I hold Titan toward the woman who hesitates before petting him. "See." I set him back down and he rubs up against the hero's leg.
"I'M GOING TO KILL HIM!" Keigo stands up wings puffed up. "IM GOING TO FUCKING KILL HIM!"
Quickly I sidestep Rumi walking over to my fiancé.
"Calm down." I say holding his face.
His eyes are full of anger, the feathers at the end of his wings visually harden. "Keigo." His eyes snap towards me examining my face his expression softening. "We talk. We don't kill people. Shota will be told and the school can help. You can't matters into your own hands." I whisper.
He looks around the room seeing Rumi leaning against the wall examining the situation while Shoto has his head down.
Slowly he nods leaning his head on my shoulder. "I'm sorry." His wings relax drooping.
I play with his hair letting him calm down more. "It's okay my love." I kiss his hair humming quietly into his hair.
"I'm so dumb." He mumbles.
"Sometimes. You act like a stupid chicken." He lifts his head pouting at me.
"Your really mean." I wink going and sitting on the couch. "So movies?" I ask the other two people in the room.
"Sure." Keigo flops down on top of me giving the other pro hero in the room space to sit down.
