Jake had a hard time sleeping the other night. He couldn't stop thinking about his Father's death. He felt weak to his marrows.

"Good morning boys. Ready for school?" She asked trying to be natural. "Why?" Jake asked his mum ignoring her question. "Why what?" She asked taking the cigarette she was smoking away from her lips. "Why are you hiding it from us mum? Just tell us the truth" he started letting the tears gush out from his eyes freely making his mother also break down into tears. "I'm not hiding anything Jake" she answered back. "What's going on?" Jace asked getting freaked out. He began to shiver.
"Nothing baby" his mum answered with her eyes locking with Jack's. "That's a lie!" Jack screamed. "Dad's dead! Just tell us!" He yelled back in tears and ran out the door leaving his backpack behind.

Diana couldn't compose herself anymore. She broke down into tears while Jace fainted. She cried more as she grabbed her keys and carried the boy to the car.
"Hello.........Pat.....Pat.....you there?..... Meet me at the hospital" she said into her phone and started the engine.

"Why father? Why did you take did you take dad's life? You could have saved him from the bad guys. Why did you let him go?"
Jake had gone to the church and he was crying at the feet of the altar. He didn't know the caretaker was watching him closely. He didn't realize it until he was done pouring out his feelings. "Hey! Come here" the man yelled. He obeyed impulsively. "What's your name?" The man asked politely. "I'm Jake. Nice to meet you" he answered and began to walk away. "You know, there's no questioning God. He's unquestionable boy" he said. Jake halted and turned around to look at the man. "Sorry Sir. But, who are you?" He asked politely. "I'm Levi. I saw you when you were yelling at God. He's not the kind of person to question you know. Whatever happened has happened. You've just got to move on my boy" Levi, of medium size, chubby was in his late fifties. He worked as the caretaker in the church. He was a mechanic by work. "Thanks for the advice sir. I'll digest that later" Jake answered and began to walk away again.
"How old are you?"
"I'm fourteen years old"
"Ah! Nice. Well, when I was your age, life was really good. No bad people. No bandits. Well we did have bandits but they only stole livestock and crops. No killing then" Levi said. "Well, your father ain't coming back son. Just move on. God understands."
"Wait, how did you know?" Jake asked but there was no reply. He then walked away concluding the man was psychic.

The Memorial hospital was usually emergency free every Monday morning. The only emergency was Jace.
"Please, my son needs to be attended to now" Diana said to the nurse at the reception. "Emergency at the front desk. I repeat, emergency at the front desk" the nurse said into her walkie talkie. A stretcher appeared about a minute after. "Please come with me to my office Mrs......"
"Norman" Diana answered and followed the doctor into his office. Pat arrived just then
"Hey. Diana, I'm here. What happened?" She yelled after her.
"I'll be back to explain everything later" Diana answered and she was out of sight.

Patricia Dickens was a very close friend of Diana. They began their friendship when Diana and her family moved to their house. She was divorced with triplets. She worked at an hospital for elderlies.

"What happened to your son Mrs Norman?"
Diana ignored the question focusing on the name tag on the doctor's coat. Dr Benson, paediatrician. "He fainted" she answered and burst into tears. "Mrs Norman please tell me the full story. I've got to add it to his file. Please" Dr Benson pleaded.
"My husband was killed. He was shot yesterday evening. I love my husband but he really loved me back but then......" she began in tears
"He had another wife and kids. I couldn't leave my husband cause my boys need their daddy. I didn't tell them about his unfaithfulness though. When I was told he was shot, I couldn't bring myself to tell the boys. Jace is autistic and things like that aren't meant for him, right?"
"Yeah"
"His elder brother found out about it. He said it out loud this morning and that's when Jace fainted." She said and covered her face with her hands and cried more.
"Mrs Norman, your son is paralysed with shock. He should be alright but, if he's in a coma, there's a fifty fifty chance of his survival. Where is your first son?" Dr Benson asked writing all the info into the file
"I don't know. He ran out this morning. I have no idea where he is. He's not my concern for now. I want his brother to be fine before I go around looking for him." She answered wiping her tears with the tissue the doctor handed to her.
"We'll update you later, okay. Now tell me your number"
"Its 01.............."
