"okay everyone, we have a new student today, i expect you all to treat him with kindness."

lee minho sat in the back corner of the class, leaning back in his seat and drumming his fingers against his desk, uninterested the teacher's announcement, however, as the teacher walked to the door and then back into the room, the young boy following her caught his attention. the student was a short male with blond, fluffy hair, cocoa-swirly eyes, chubby cheeks and squirrel-like features. he was wearing a grey and white plaid skirt with a grey tucked-in hoodie and white platform shoes. minho narrowed his eyes at the small boy standing at the front.

"hello, my name is han jisung, i'm seventeen, and i hope we can all get along." the new student said with a smile on his face, bowing to the class. minho shifted his gaze to out the window next to him and clenched his jaw, turning his attention away from 'jisung'.

"thank you jisung, you can sit next to... minho, the brunet at the back." minho's head snapped back to the front again with narrowed eyes.

"why me?!" he complained, crossing his arms whilst still leaning back in his seat. jisung's smile faltered slightly, and the teacher gave minho an authoritative glare.

"the only spare seat is next to you, so he'll sit there. i assign the seating choices, not you. jisung, please go and take a seat."

jisung quickly made his way to the desk he was assigned to as the teacher officially began the lesson. he thought he should try to talk to minho properly, start off their now daily task of being desk mates on a better foot.

"hi, minho, right?" jisung smiled at him, but all he did was roll his eyes and say;

"fuck off." jisung's smile fell instantly and he lowered his gaze to his desk.

"oh, okay, sorry.." he mumbled.

minho scoffed and started drumming his fingers against his desk again whilst glancing back out the window.

"dude, you good?" one of minho's best friends, hwang hyunjin, spoke from the desk behind him.

"does it look like it?" minho rolled his eyes slightly at him.

"alright, alright, sorry." he put his hands up in defense. minho sighed and turned his gaze back to the window.

by the time the bell went off, minho was beyond bored out of his mind and wanted to get out as soon as possible. however, as soon as he had stood up with his bag, the teacher hollered;

"lee minho and han jisung stay behind please!"

minho groaned obnoxiously loud, throwing his bag back down on the floor, and flopped back into his seat, making jisung jump slightly. he already had a feeling the older boy wasn't exactly the 'well-behaved' or 'good' type. he quietly sat back down at his desk, and waited for the teacher to explain.

"so, since you two aren't exactly getting along, even after the little reminder at the start of the lesson-" she sent a look in minho's direction, who just challenged her gaze with an equally piercing stare "- i've decided both of you are going to be sharing a dorm for the rest of the year to develop better terms with each other."

"what?! i'd much rather stay in my dorm with changbin, why in the land of flying fucks would i want to live with him?!" minho clamored, not believing his ears while jisung tried to hide how minho's words hurt him slightly. he'd met the male less than an hour ago, he shouldn't get so sensitive over a stranger's words when they knew nothing about him.

"watch your language, young man, and i expect both of you to turn up at the office to collect your keys by the end of the day tomorrow, especially you minho, that way you can have time to get all your stuff together. understood?"

"yes, miss." jisung replied calmly.

the teacher nodded and opened the door for them. "you're dismissed." the blond boy bowed politely and was about to head out the door whereas minho just stood up, grabbed his bag and shoved past jisung and out of the door causing the smaller boy to stumble.

the classroom door was closed behind him and he was left in the corridor, alone and with absolutely no idea where to go. sighing, jisung decided to try and find his way to the cafeteria and just wait until the next day of suffering.
